Marker baron

I had the duke ( same as baron just burlier and higher din) my dukes held up great even tho I didn't ride them too much but they held up super good. My friend has some older barons that he rides on to this day. He's had a few problems but he fixed them for little to no cost and that's pretty good for a 13 din hiking binding he's used for 4 years.

Now don't just buy them tho. As they are reliable, I didng like them. The stack height was too high for me. Other than that they were great. If you want a hiking binding that has a low stack height look into the Salomon guardians it atomic tracker. They are a tad heavier than the dukes/barons but you'll probably find the lower stack height to be more enjoyable.
 
Griffons or Jesters are normal alpine bindings that would be good for park and resort skiing.

Also look into Tyrolia's touring binding. They are light, durable, and a bit cheaper than the others.

Only thing that sucks is that they have a stack height just as high as the dukes

The adrenalins(tyrolia) and duke/baron(marker) both bave heights of about 36mm while the guardians/trackers are I think about 23mm. Adrenalin is the lightest, Dukes/baron in the middle, and gaurdians/tracker are the heaviest.

So anyway you look at it theres not the "best" at binding hahaha
 
Yeah that's what I thought. Jesters/griffons have a stack height low to mid 20mms . So again for what you said, unless you tour a lot don't go baron
