Mark McMorris Triple 14 STOPMED! Video!

The only reason I said that is because the guy was trying to get to me. I usually don't say ignorant things such as that. I have the utmost respect for both sports, I ride with nothing but skiers and I love Adam Delorme. For me its a friendly competition. I just hear the snowboard hate all too often from certain skiers.

oh, totally understandable. i've grown up skiing with snowboarders, and have watched my friends progress more and more each year. we kind of have a "if you try this, i'll try that" sort of thing going on between us.

Thats how me and my friends are, it makes it 10x more fun. I have a bitter side anytime someone says something bias and stupid about snowboarding on here, i just need to chill. Ive had a bad weekend

BUT #1 most idiotic statement said by my skier friends.

"I can't do anything on that, Its a snowboarder feature."

Anyways, back to Mark McMorris being a nut job.

that's the only way to ride, honestly.

at times i feel that way, that features are far more snowboard friendly, but people continue to prove me wrong. i see all these barrels and bonks placed before, during, or after rails and i'm like "how the fuck am i supposed to do that with two sticks?"

Ahhh the beauty of the Ollie. I definitely understand what they mean though. I would just rather hear them say just what you said "what the fuck am I suppose to do" Instead it just "Park Crew needs to stop making snowboarding features"

agreed. the sport is progressing so fast that features are undoubtedly going to become far more difficult. i've seen so many more barrels, bonks, double rails, angled rails, and just rails with obscene amounts of kinks in the last few year than i thought i'd see.

i do believe that that bobby brown is sessioning that same jump. can anyone confirm?

if so i am quite stoked to see what he can do

everyone knows how you get a concussion you fuck.

i do agree with you, but your going about it wrong. wearing a helmet is about having that extra bit of protection so you dont get a more severe consussion when you fall. agreed? i have never skied without a helmet and last weekend i took a nasty fall and my helmet shattered. yes i got a concussion, i am just thankful that it wasnt my head that exploded.

Im with you man. Sorry I separated my shoulder and have been in a pretty shitty mood the past couple days. I was just sitting there reading a thread about the sickest trick of the year and all anyone could say is how stupid he was for not wearing a helmet.

I don't disagree with wearing a helmet, I wear one, its just not as big in snowboarding. outside of competitions Jed Anderson and Shaun White and seriously about the only pros that wear helmets.

Another way to look at not wearing a helmet is that when you aren't wearing a helmet you might second guess that new trick that you might not be ready to try.

That isn't a snowboarding feature it's just a shitty feature. I don't know any good snowboarder that likes a ride on box.

Sorry if Im coming off as an ass in this thread Im just defending my sport.

ONE LOVE !!!!!?!?!?!?!:):):)

truly amazing! with such good style as well!
Though I love how Travis Rice and crew are keeping their triples under wraps... just to literally blow our brains to shit when FLIGHT comes out!

is this thread about whether they should be wearing helmets or about the trick? they should definitely be wearing helmets i would wear that one like bmxers do with the face protection maybe throw some flames and american flags on there

not dumber. snowboarding just takes after skating a lot. skaters dont wear helmets, its just not an accepted thing. and helmets really dont do as much as people tend to think as far as concussions. they prevent cuts more than they prevent concussions.

That is a park jump. That is amazing. If there aren't decent triple corks thrown at JOI I will be thoroughly disappointed.

its cool that you have an open mind and appreciate snowboarding as well as skiing but..why would you post a comment on newschoolers calling out pro skiers for doing gay tricks?

I was watching the Air & Style on tv the other day. Only caught the finals, so I only saw the top 4 dudes' runs... and not one of the 4 was wearing a helmet. the guy that came in 4th not only didn't land any of his three jumps for the finals, but his hat and goggles flew off 3/4 of the way through the trick every time.

Since when has there EVER been a competition (pro, am or regional) in skiing or boarding where helmets weren't mandatory.

Stupid snowboarders... not only were they not wearing helmets during a pro competition, they did so on international television.

Fuck off. Your a fucking dumb ass. Since when are skiers and snowboarders role models. It should be up to the parents to make their kid wear a helmet.

if you honestly believe that skiers and snowboarders are not role models then i cant imagine what else you believe. if you ask ANY pro skier, or read ANY interview with a pro skier, they generally will tell you who they idolized and looked up to before they became big. pro skiers and snowboarders are our biggest influences, not just for us personally, but for the sport (for tricks, style, gear, etc).
basically youre the "fucking dumb ass" if you think younger kids do not look up to pro skiers and snowboarders as role models.

Yeah who they looked up to when they were younger from a riding stand point. If kids are looking up to athletes as role models in life they are pretty fucking stupid. Take Chug for example He makes a great model right?

The ignorance in this thread is astounding.
