Its funny to see that both Bobby and Sammy wore a helmet when they did their triples and that Torstein and Mark did not wear a helmet on their triples. What does this mean? SNOWBARDERS ARE MORE LEGIT THAN SKIERS!
 
my thoughts exactly. i understand it's a personal choice, as mentioned above, but for such a high risk trick, that seems insane
 
because he made it look too easy, on a normal sized jump, you might be right.

I like this trick, but I want to only see triples on special occasions. and they're only uber tasty when smooth and grabbed like this one. but fuck man, this is so above any tricks I've done, what can I say about it? nothing. shit. im impressed
 
Absolutely amazing. As for the whole helmet thing. Helmets in snowboarding are a rarity compared to skiing. Not a lot of guys wear helmets. In skiing it seems like everyone does.

Now that thats cleared up shut the fuck up and talk about the BACKSIDE triple cork 1440. Fucking amazing, amazing, amazing.

no it means their dumber. wearing a helmet is about being able to ski the whole season without gettting a concussion. and those suck and fuck with your head permanently after 2 or 3
 
Dumber, really? Shut the fuck up man. Do you even know how you get a concussion? Helmets protect your skull from breaking and lessen your chances of getting a concussion a tiny bit. If you have a snug fitting helmet your brain is still gonna rattle around in your head.

Yes I took offense because your calling professional snowboarders dumb. Next time say something constructive.
 
not to take anything from sammy and bobby but they had jumps built for them, that was off a public park jump....crazy shit
 
ugh, really? this argument is really unnecessary. i think it can be said that skiing and snowboarding are somewhat interdependent on one another. the progression of each sport coincides with the other, and i feel such progression pushes the athletes of each discipline to keep up with the other.

as to this "skiers should start getting dumber", i'm fairly certain a skier landed the first true triple flip (sammy carlson). i'm not hating or trying to argue, that's just my understanding. it would seem as if skiers and snowboarders are on the same level of "dumb".
