I know some of you here at newschoolers are either straight edge or against marijuana. But here is my view, from a pot smokers perspective. Weed passes time. Whenever Im bored and there snothing to do, weed is there. Getting high and reading or watching tv or just being outside is wole new experience everytime. I smoked weed on average 1-6 times a week. I can cleanly say im not addicted to the herb, but just in love with it. Skiing when high is a great experience, and believe me or not but weed brings families together. Whenever i smoke with my cousins and there friends, we share a bond that i would never give up for anything. And smoking with my role model was a life changing experience (i will not name who it was). So before you go and judge pot, consider the good side. And if you have smoked pot you can probably relate to this..share any thoughts/feelings/wuestions/opinions etc...thanks

i actually endorse drug use. i dont do them myself, but i think it acts as a form of natural selection.

meh, I'm an intellignet and fullfilled human being who doesn't need illicit drugs to make my life exciting and enjoyable or have good relationships with people. But that's just me.

Oh yeah, and being in love with something and addicted to it are much more similar than you can imagine. Just a question though, how do you pass any classes or work when you are high 1-6 times a week?

all right I agree smokin pot might give you a good time or why else would you smoke it but unless you smoke only like 3 times a month a daily high will fuck up your brains and your lungs over the years.

oh I gotcha, I had a friend that was # 4 in our high school class, drank a bit his first semester and then started smoking pot his second semester. He hung in there for the first semester, since he was at a little school playing baseball, but after his second semester he a gpa around 1. So you see where I come from now. that's not a lone case either.

I have a few friends that are going to school to become electrical engineers and they smoke all the time and pass with flying colors, although they say you got to this one thing called homework and your good to go...

I smoked the herb during high school and still managed to get the highest standardized test scores my school had seen in 10 years or so...

ive heard that drinking is even worse for ur brain than weed...but im not against ethier, in fact im all for both..ive smoked several times, its not that great for me i just get all sleepy and wanan take a nap, soo i stick with the akahol...and try to stay away from the harder shit

i went to most of my college classes stoned, took most of my tests stoned, and wrote just about all of my papers stoned. i graduate in december with higher than a 3.0 GPA from a major university, and if i was going to my graduation ceremony, i'd be stoned. but instead of wasting my time there, i'll probably be at one of the seven ski resorts i have a pass to, and i'll probably be stoned. i was also stoned when i got both of my ski passes. i can afford two passes becausehave a job. where i can get stoned at any time. plus i can make enough money that i only need to work three days a week, leaving more time to ski and get stoned.

if you don't smoke pot, then that's great (my girlfriend doesn't and we get along just fine). if you're a preachy fucker who thinks pot ruins your life and that everybody who smokes it only does so because they A) think it makes them look cooler or B) because they ''need'' it to have fun then you are a closed minded ignorant fool who could probably benefit from being fucked up out of his gourd for once in his life.

no, EC I won't go on an anti-pot tirade, but I thought both sides should be shown. Alot of the people on this site are young and impressionable and should be aware that pot is dangerous to some people, some people can't handle it. I know lots of people who smoke pot and even do other drugs, and still do fine it school, but there are those who have trouble with. I still will never condone a course of action that will legalize it though, just as I don't believe the drinking age should ever be lowered in the states.

I'm not a fan of it personally, its just not my scene.

i think that weed is a personal thing. for some people its a great time and exciting, and for others its the devil. but one things for sure, if cigarettes are legal, pot should be too!

cigarettes don't cause nearly the same level of a high as weed does. And smoking tobacco is and has been for a very long time, socially acceptable. I doubt weed will ever gain that, at least in the US. I mean its name is 'weed,' noones likes weeds.

i swear a lot of the smartest people are stoners. i have a friend with a 4 point for HS, number 1 in his class, 3.97 in college as an electrical engineer major. its crazy

different strokes for different folks i used to smoke about hundred times a day now its about 99 times a day but when im skiing im always fucking blazed thats the shit man you get so focused nothing matters I just giver when im blazed on the hill, hence the name chief blaze bitches im the fucking chiefing king but i wont say there is negative effects from smoking weed like spending all your money on munchies and being to lazy to have conversations with people hahaha yeah hahaha

Weed won't ruin your life. I've been smoking weed since I was 10. I smoke about 5 times a day. I was named a commended student in the national merit scholarship competition for placing in the top 5th percentile of PSAT scores from last year. I took the PSAT's completely stoned. Not to mention the sreason I took the PSAT because a friend made a bet that he could score higher than me-- because i'm such a 'stoner'. Weed worked for me!
