Wow dude, your parents suck. My parents were awesome about that shit, they would never rat out my friends. One time a friend's parent caught me driving someone around before I was supposed to and she told my mom about it under the pretense that she would expect my mom to do the same if she saw my friend doing that. My mom assured me that she never would, but she just smiled and nodded for my friend's parent. Made things much easier in high school...
 
Ya, my dads girlfriend (now wife) caught me smoking out my brother and this girl (they were both 15, I was 18) and she told my dad, but I mean i don't blame her at all for that, she used to do hella drugs and smoke so much pot. And my dad just said no to smoke my brother out, and the girls parents never got told.

i agree with agreeing with what they tell you to do and shit but you need to let him know it wasn't your friends fault you got caught. Tell your dad to do anything besides that cuz nothing is worse than a 17 yr old old parent calling another 17 yr old 's parent. you guys are gonna be adults in a year.

word. also, just sack up. your 17. dont let your parents bitch you around. i got caught last year and i straight debated with my parents and proved to them that me smoking wasnt even a bad thing. they ended up just being like "well its still illegal so you cant do it" but i still proved that it wasnt hurting anyone, and just changed the way they look at me smoking. i honestly believe that smoking isnt a bad thing at all, so it wasnt hard for me to convince them. if you think its a bad thing, then you should quit
 
Thats too bad man. Last year, my parents found a sack of mine, then like 4 weeks later they found out I was having sex... that was a pretty rough month.

Just be super straight up about everything. Ask them what they think the best course of action to resolve this is. Its too bad about jesus camp, but it may be the only way to really show them you are serious about the situation.

dude, tell your parents to grow a brain and too realise that if you smoke pot (from what i understand, a few times to EXPERIENCE), it does not mean youll end up smoking crack

and the way i see it, when parents are like that, restricting everything, not letting you do anything, not allwoed no experiences (im not saying you should smoke crack), thats when the child wants to do the complete opposit and starts FUCKING IT UP, cause his parents are WACK

No do this i owned my mom when i showed her the real facts. She still sent me to therapy and shit but i later got caught like before going to college and she didnt give a shit and said ok just dont do it too much so youll be fine if you go to erowid.com show them the facts
 
Your 17. A year from 18. I assume your friend is the same. Then you are an adult. Work your ass off now so that when you are 18, you don't have to rely on your parents. That is what you should be concerning yourself with. Just agree and do what ever it is you need to do to get them to treat you like more of an adult. Prove to them that they taught you right, and that you know how to take punishment and I promise your relationship with them will only get better, and when you ask for help a year from now, they will be willing.
 
I thought you were gonna say you were having brain problems or something... marijuana didn't fuck you, tight ass religious parents fucked you. They will loosen up a little, their still going through the initial shock that their baby boy is growing up and using that brain of his and wanting to experiment. but ya just be polite, don't fight and don't suck up
 
Yup. Until the police get involved you can't really get more than "made love to gently". "Fucked" requires a dog, hundreds of dollars worth of drugs and paraphernalia, and the grating fear that you're going to have to write "Possession of Marijuana" and "Intent to Sell" on every job, loan, and housing application you fill out for years to come.
