Marg coaching COC?

You know how I was trying to get people to sign up for Momentum.

Well now I'm coaching at COC.

Hahaha. I wonder how many people signed up on the basis of helping you get a job only to have you on the other side of the glacier... I'm betting Smart doesn't mind though.
 
What! And after i sold my first child to be able to go to Momentum to learn your wisdom you leave???
 
i remember when ski camp coaches were people you could look up to. like when i went to camp it was sms and revolution coaches were the phils, eric iberg, jf cusson, vincent dorion, trennon paynter, douglas, etc etc. now it seems to be any kid with a basketball jersey on. just sayin.
 
I'm not sure if that's directed to Margetts but if it is I definitely look up to him have you seen this guy ski he absolutely kills it so be stoked for him or GTFO and go back to "shreading the deep"
 
Thats great that when you went to camp those were the people that were your role models and who you looked up to. Times change. People grow up. Maybe some people look up to me maybe they dont. But all I can hope for is that some do. I know I'll be a great coach and I know the campers will love me. Sorry for getting a coaching job at COC because I want to ski, make money, and have the greatest summer experience ever. AND Sorry for partying

pretty sure camps want people who can coach and be cool to hang with. If that kid in a basktball jersey can coach somewhat known and a nice guy they will take him.
 
im not hatin on "marg" im from a different era of skiing aparently. much like "marg" said. just seems to me that nowadays if you can do a switch 10 you can coach people. infact i remember most of the coaches back then just sat around and drank or did whatever and hit the jumps twice a day.

but still fuckin jf cusson the phils etc were so beyond any skier out there at the time that it was truely amazing to have them learn your name and get you stoked to do a trick or rip on you for shit. it seems like pros (people with orange names on ns) are not few and far between. look at how many people are doing shit like traveling circus or dropping edits once a week just to let you know whats up. you could go hang out at park city or the canyons and see 50 random people an hour throw down big tricks.

who knows maybe i would learn alot more from marg if i was 15 again than i did from the coaches that i had back in the day. its different being new and "fresh" on the scene than actually creating the scene.
 
Im pretty convinced that marge wasn't hired becasue hes a kid who can do cab tens, he has a great personality and many good qualities that a coach should have. The kids will be extremely stoked on margetts because he knows how to have as much fun as possible at all times.
I just hope they do a criminal record check because he is a know petafile...
and besides dude, who the fuck wears jerseys anymore?
 
I believe you mean pedophile, but yes I agree whole heartedly. But lets give him some credit, not like he stole kye's sister's virginity at 13 or anything.
 
Smuggs, cut the bullshit with that nostalgia noise! Yeah it was awesome to be in or around skiing back in the day when the Phils and Vinnie were on top, but that's pretty irrelevant now. All of those guys would agree with me when I say that summer ski camp is about one thing and one thing only: having fun. Marg is a fun guy, and the kids will go home with stories. Maybe a few nightmares, too, and possibly some emotional scarring that will take years of therapy to adequately address, but definitely stories. What's more everyone likes him and he's easy to get along with which makes it good for the young'ns who don't have to be all awed and dumbstruck at seeing their idols and can get down to learning switch 7s. Add all that to the fact that he is one of the better park skiers out there and not just a face in the crowd, and I don't see what you're bitching about.

Bottom line is this. COC: more fun with Margetts.

Actually they should make bumper stickers or something.

as skiing gets bigger, more guys are getting support. but its not like they arent slayin. there are plenty of dudes doing the same stock shit. i just dont feel like margetts is one of them. w/ that dub 9? talk about innovation. nobody else does that shit.
