i need some help. Ive heard that canada has very lax laws about pot use. Depending on what the exact law is in BC, my dad will let me smoke in our condo. Does anyone know the exact law or where i can find it?

BC has pot laws? News to me... and I've lived here for 20 years.

Actually, we do... except no one cares. They don't even shut pot bars down most of the time, irrespective of how obviously shady they are (green awnings, papered windows, sign saying 'Nature Bar' etc.) ... live and let live, I suppose. Actually, when they shut down the DaKine (which everyone KNEW was selling weed, they didn't even bother to hide it), a ton of people complained, because it kept dealers out of the area. I forget if there was a thread on that.

so it IS illegal then? i heard that if you hace less than a quarter then you only get a 60 dollar ticket so how can it be legal?

on paper yes, but the cops tend to turn a blind eye unless its blatant abuse. they simply arent interested in individuals with small quantities for personal use because thats like the entire population of the province right there.

Yeah nobody gives a shit. I see people smoking dope in public all the time. In fact, I'm one of them. The general public and the police pretty much ignore it. Technically it isn't legal though.

the difference is that its still a punishable offense, just it wont be put on your permanent record. all you'll get is a fine, much like a parking ticket.

yeah, no one really cares. i walked past the rcmp in whistler this summer after the bar smoking a joint, said hi and carried on my way. soo it will be canada wide that it will be decriminalized so you can have 15grams and only get a ticket...but the ticket will only come down when people are being knobs or obviously dealing.

Vancouver is pottown, this summer I walked around the town ppl were blazing everywhere, and downtown on robson square its almost legal ppl smoke up there all the time in the middle of the tourists and shoppers and no one cares. The Dakine is a pretty funny story its the second time they get shut down, im sure it could have lasted longer if the media hadnt learned about it.

God created alcohol so that ugly women could still have sex.

goddamn thats hella lax, here in the states i have a buddy who got busted for weed then he got busted for coke and a couple of weeks ago he got busted for being out too late cuz he was on probation, but he also had like 3 ounces but it wasnt on him he like threw it into a bush, and they found it with the dogs and this part is part is straight messed up the cops said to this guy tom that if he didnt tell them whos weed it was they were gonna blame it on him, which they cant do since they dont have any evidence, but anyway my buddy got screwed cuz tom said it was his weed, but for some reason hes not in juvy

we have cops come into our school with dogs and shit to search everywhere for it and there is a state police department right across the street form my high school.
