you know, africa is a very interesting continent. it has the longest river in the world, the largest desert in the world, but at the same time it has some very large snow mountain ranges, a tropical rainforest, and savana's and such.
not only is it very diverse geograficly, it plays an important role historicly and geologicly.
they have fossles that show that humans infact came from the East African Rift region of the continent thousands of years ago (up to almost 100 000 years to the first 'human like' beings). slowly evolving and migrating we became what we are today.
the East African Rift is part of a fault system that is currently creating the Red Sea (it is a growing ocean, and in the not too far future (geologicly speaking) will become a new sea, and this spreading is not only in the current Red Sea, but is infact taking place down the whole east side of the continent.
