Manti Te'o's dead girlfriend a hoax?

Read most of it, but I don't understand that. How can you be in a relationship with somebody and think they died? Granted, I didn't read the whole thing so I'm assuming this is like a conspiracy or something..
 
This is the most ridiculous shit ever. It's not like he even needed publicity. he was the best player on the most perennially overhyped team in the country. No need to do this at all...

not that anyone cares but I called this so many times, from casual conversations with friends to drunkenly screaming it at the commentators on the TV. He just always seemed a really dumb guy trying to fake it

Speaking of coming out, one of the prevailing theories is that Manti is gay with the dude in the article and the whole girlfriend thing was created in order to cover it up. I like it

Fuck Manti Te'o, all season I have to hear about this "saint", the guy is a fucking scumbag after all. He's not even that good, and I hope he brings nothing but misfortune to whatever NFL team is stupid enough to draft him.

if this is indeed the case, Te'o had a role in it because he admitted that they "met" after a game against the Stanford (she was in the stands).

The only explanations I can see for this are that he is trying to cover up being gay or that he was trying to build hype for his Heisman campaign. I sure hope we get an honest explanation from him soon.

Either way, I don't see how this would substantially hurt his draft stock. He's still the same player he was all year long. I expect him to go late first round.
 
So many people have been hating on Johnny Manziel saying he doesn't have the character and maturity deserving of the Heisman. What a joke. Just imagine how crazy it would be if Manti actually did win the Heisman and this story came out.
