"Man Down"

With the spring skiing conditions, has anybody else noticed a LOT of people getting pwned?

For instance, yesterday;

- my buddy cases a jump going for a 720... He cased at 540, and because he still had momentum it threw him off axis, making him land fully on his now fractured shoulder.

-next buddy goes for a big 3, over-rotates, sprains his ankle.

-other than that, a lot of people in got their shit rocked.

-I'm the lone survivor of my crew of three I rode with yesterday...major shinbang trying to gap giant rollers...But that's it. Knock on wood bigtime.

Is this a coincidence, or is ski patrol out to get revenge from that time we ducked the rope?

just dislocated my shoulder doing a fs 2 off, so I'm out for 2 weeks, good thing ski season is almost over here anyways

yes haha, yesterday i saw like 10 people get taken down the mountain in those sleds. and like a couple in an ambulance

i just seperated my shoulder working on sw rodeo 5's

i think that seen as the conditions are nice (warm, soft snow, bluebird skies, etc.)

and everyone is getting pumped on each other, everybody is abit more reckless, thus resulting in more crashes and more injuries

Two reasons...Soft conditions and End of season:
The soft conditions tend to get people to push themselves a bit more cause well, it's softer, however, it also makes for slower snow and more mush to get caught up in.
The end of season means people don't really care about getting hurt as much anymore cause they've got all summer to heal, plus they want to learn new tricks before the season ends.
So everyone just remember to be safe and have fun...but don't push yourself past your limits.

last week I kneecapped a down rail - my knee grew to the size of a grapefruit with swelling and has been drained of blood twice. Injury Claim!

yesterday i was hitting this 50 footer and practicing switch tricks. Went for a switch ten and landed it but barely got around. So i went back up and took 3 big steps up to go big, dropped in, set the ten off the jump. But I lost my ski in the 2nd rotation. Landed 9 with 1 boot, 1 ski. Just died and ragdolled down the landing. Luckily didnt get hurt too bad, maybe a bruised rib.

when it gets so slushy out speed is really hard to judge leading to many mishaps. i broke my collarbone cause i came up short on a jump. wasnt spring conditions but the jump had slowed down a lot from a half hour or so ago which led to me casing.

I was at chads yesterday trying my switch 9's, i came up short and broke both my ankles.
