mammoth ruined skiing for me

im an east coast kid, 2 weeks ago i came back from Mammoth (my first trip out west). While i was there the skiing was epic. it was knee to waist deep everyday for 6 days. i skied chair 22,25 and 9 like no tommorow(i went other places too). When i came back home and skied it sucked to me because nothing out here is hard enough steep enough or has enough snow. GOD DAMN YOU MAMMOTH Y U HAVE TO BE SO GOOD.

So I told him if you say that again im gonna stick this bowl of gucamole up your ass.

Long story short, that is the worst bowl of gucamole iv'e ever tasted
 
Be happy, plenty of other East Coast kids would love to go out west, but can't.

yeah i wish i could go to mammoth for 2 weeks i went to vail/beaver creek for 3 days skiied all BC with this guy my dad knows that lives out there probably the most amazing skiing of my life

i envy mammoth too. here in washington, we have no snow. all but 2 ski areas are closed, but they too are sooooooo close to being closed. we havent had any substantial snow all year, and our parks have been extremely shitty because of that. i got to go to june and mammoth for a week, and well, i hate it here in washington now... it hasnt been all bad, but damn mammoth is amazing

^ Naw the nothwest got screwed. Their mountains where actually closing. My mom just got back from a week of skiing at Bridger Bowl, she said there was not one sign of ice but all compact powder event though it was a constant 60F degrees out.

gah i just got back from for 7 days, there wasnt that much snow, but we got great weather and it was my first time out west...and it forsure beats the east

I know the feeling I went to Tahoe about a month ago skied Heavenly and Squaw(1st trip out west). When I came back and skied in the catskills, it was horrible and it has officially made me a park rat to keep me entertained.

 
I live in Utah, ski powder whenever I want either in the resort of BC. I fuckin love it. But i'm moving to LA next year so I'll be missing it big time

yea here in vancouver the seasons has been worse than east coast, we havent had a snowpack over 100cm for more than a week here

The northwest was so fucked this year, I think I skiied 2 or 3 days of powder, the rest was hardpack, or slush bullshit, I hope its not like that next year!

i usually never do park i just find or build my own kickers and well i am sad to say i was forced into park by the lack of features i live in the North West

i can relate. i went to park city for a week and then i came back to Southeastern Michigan and I have to ski on a 200 foot trash dump.

 
yeah whistler just got like 15 cms so im happy the season will be a bit longer. im spoiled living in whistler too..word to that

im in Washington where we should have good snow...but i only got about 4 days on snow this year...its closed just about everywhere now

heyyy theres not that many african americans here, there all in the city's and none of them ski, so that kills timboskier's reason for no mountains here.

If you coming from mammoth and your not pro you should have ur skis revoked... BEST back country BEST parks BEST everything i went there last year for spring break and it was amazing 2 ft powder on sunnny days it was skitastic! haha

 
I'd love to go to Mammoth.

I've only ever skied east coast, so if I make it out there I'm afraid I'll never come back...
