Mammoth Question

As of next year, Mammoth airport should be getting 1 or 2 flights a day from commercial airlines. They just got the goahead from the FAA :(

thats what they were saying each of the last 4 years. The FAA approval is nothing new..it's actually several years old. The airport development is being held up in court over the towns failure to conduct an passable envirnomental impact study. Until the impact study is redone and meets court approval there aint no planes bigger than a private business jet flying into mammoth. just about every enviro trugger group in america backed the lawsuit over the impact study and they aint backing down anytime soon...one reason why intrawest sold the mountain last year.

thats what I thought... Hot Creek is like less than a 1/4 mile from the airstrip... that airport would not only ruin Mammoth and June, but Yosemite High Country as well... Speaking of, Tioga Pass is gonna be insane once the road opens... Cant wait to air into third pillair, Dana Plateau is like the Palisades hopped up on more Roids than Barroid Bonds!
