mammoth or bear?

Over easter break im flyin into LA, I could drive 2hrs and go to Bear, or drive 6hrs and go to mammoth. Anyone know how the conditions are at Bear in mid april? i know mammoth would be sick, but will bear be good enough?

It's really warm up here so it's pretty soft but it's not that bad. If you have the time, money, energy and commitment to drive the mammoth then go there but if not, go to bear
