Really? Then why did they say this in their email?
As a good friend of Mammoth, we wanted to shoot you a quick email to give you a bit of news: after three days of great skiing and riding here at Mammoth, we’ve made the tough decision to close. Mother Nature forced our hand – after a big storm earlier this week and great skiing and riding on Friday, record breaking warm temperatures rolled in, wreaking havoc on our snow in the process.
 
I don't now maybe because "the plan" wasn't advertised. I heard only for the weekend as soon as I heard the were opening . Think about though theres no new snow, and its not consistently cold enough to make snow at this point. It was sick they opened for the weekend though.
