how is it overrated, just look at it....it was rated the #1 halfpipe in north america by transworld snowboard..and has one of the top 3 or 4 parks in north america...also it averages 300 sunny days per year......overrated?????

because i dont value a park that highly... and their landings a really short and gay and a lot of the mountain is pretty flat

Have you even been to mammoth? Its fucking awesome, the mountain is freakn huge, they get TONS of snow, and it has the best spring skiing in the country. Not to mention their park completely owns everyone else, as if no one knows that though...jesus christ

But also, I think that it is prettty obvious that he has been there by him knowing about the landings' conditions. And All you said was that the park was the shit. He gave us reasons why it wasn't, while you didn't support yourself. I think that he wins this one.

Ok, how can you say the mountain is flat? I don't know where you've been skiing. Take the Gondola or chair 23 and ski those GIANT bowls all day, if it's powder this is HEAVEN. Then you can go over to chair 9 and ski all the shit over by Dragon's back. Oh wait! There's a backside what do you know, you can head over to chair fourteen and ski around Hemlock bowl, then if your legs arn't dead by then you can go ski something like chair 22 over by canyon lodge which can be very fun if its good powder, by this time you might be able to go and hit up their park, I don't know what your talking about with their jumps, everytime i've been there they are sculpted to perfection...

i think someone is just mad that they cant ski there everyday like us and the landings short, umm maby early season due to lack of snow but if you havent noticed that the landings are as high as the chair short, i think not

yea all u west coast people should be happy everyday u ski powder and a nice park.. out here on the east where i ski at i dont think there has ever been a powder day or ne of that and every run is pure ice by about 12...

there isn't a lot of varied terrain. theres a lot of shit above tree line, not a lot of little chutes in the woods and tight lines. it kinda gets boring after a while. yes the park is good, but a sick part is not good enough.

wow west coaster should come live on the east for a winter you think mammoth if lat come to CT where the conditions are ice and 450 vertical feet at every hill the only way to hit powder is go into the woods during a snowstorm because it will all melt with in a week after the storm

there are tons of liffs and chutes in the trees. they are just hidden so real locals can ski freshtracks all day without the gapers trying to ski though it and crashing like squaw

C: it is overrated. look at all of you backing up a mountain it seems half of you have never been to. but seriously, mammoth lakes is ghetto as shit, everything is expensive... californias kinda gay in my book... and most of the mountain is pretty flat. it is without a doubt a world class resort wtih one of the best parks in the world, but i still think people give it too much acclaim

I have to agree with mammothpunks on this one. tons of lines that people don't see. and if you get tired of skiing their go 15 miles out of town and ski june with tons of undiscovered lines and theres also the backside of both mountains. so try bitching about that

 
Fuck you east coast bitches, atleast its skiing! I'll complain all I want about how it only snowed 4 inches instead of two feet! I like deep pow and I pay for my tuition at the University of Utah so I can ski there so screw you!
