Probably doesn't deserve its own thread but holy tranny Jesus this is gonna be sick. 100% hand shaped, open Sat-Sun. Shout out all the creative parks out there.

Looks sick.

When all the vail mountains are shutting down with plenty of snow cause their cucks and don’t respect pass holders only care about gay I mean day tickets.

That's like every resort in the world, but by all means blame Vail. Blame the people getting their boats and golf clubs out. People will pay too much to ski shit conditions in october. In April you could be 100% open with great snow but people don't care. Resorts aren't cheap, if you're only selling a handful of day tickets and the rest small amount is passholders you can't afford to stay open. Ski areas ain't cheap.

Also Northstar and Kirkwood are both still open through Sunday, and I believe Heavenly is open through next weekend and then weekends only through May 27th.

Breck is also staying open til May 27th this year.

A fuck ton of mountains closing April 7th-21st but yeah, vail fucking over the world.

No one expects everything to be totally open. One main lift should spin if there is snow period all you need is 3 or 4 lifties and a couple patrollers. It’s unfair to pass holders. Shortening seasons takes these places off the map and lessens their appeal. Keep one lift spinning and you will sell more passes.

Mtns are business. Not everyone would sell enough passes to be worth staying open. Look at night skiing. There are a lot of places with lights that don't do night skiing, or only certain nights, holidays. Will they sell more tickets/passes if they do night skiing? Probably. Will it pay for the extra costs? Maybe not.

And as mentioned Tahoe and Summit both have a VR running deep as fuck going till Memorial day, which is quite late.

Hell doesn't Alta close this weekend too? And they're the corest of core.

Idk, it sucks when the snow is awesome, and places close early. But demanding a resort lose money to stay open for limited people/most of them passholders is insane.

I'me ridden plenty of mountains their closing day with 90+ percent open and some of the best conditions of the season. IT's frustrating, I get it. At the end of the day there's a ton of money going out to run a ski area. Hell, There are plenty of resorts that could keep some sort of skiing open till mid june prolly. Is it worth it to keep a lift running and other staff on hand, for 5 or 6 season pass holders that aren't buying anything ever? Sure it'd be cool if they pushed all the snow in the mountain together and kept people skiing till the last minute but it just isn't realistic. Shit costs money.

At the end of the day, CREAM

The thing is. Even mam will go to shit with all the camps this summer. Yes it will be better for much longer but by late May into June they will maybe have like 2 rangers salting and raking main park. In general there is limited concern for late park season. It isn’t like 2011 where main was absolutely insane until the second week of June.

We get it. You work for a Vail resort for $16/hr and are a loyal brainwashed slave.

There is far more to Mammoth than the park. If the Paranoids are fun who cares about the park?

This is newschoolers bud. Why don’t you wonder over to TGR if you want to talk big Mtn. The upper Mtn gets slow just as fast as the park does. To each there own but Velcro snow isn’t my thing.

Complaining or turning up your nose at particular snow conditions is far more a tgr attitude. You should go hang with the old crusties at j hole and not ski anything that isn't 4"+ of fresh.

Maybe I’m just old. Hardly complaining bro. At least I’m skiing when your on your computer trolling out.
