Making your own topsheet?

do you think it's possible to make your own plastic that would work as a topsheet? If anybody has done this before can you tell me what you did

no but my friend tried to make napalm and he messed up and it made a sheet of plastic. Not sure exactly what he did, i'll ask him sometime

lol how the fuck did that happen? want a good recipe for napalm? Take your gas, or kerosene, or whatever, and toss in a styrofoam block. Let it sit over night, and by morning, you should have some nice jelly-like napalm.

oooooh snapppp.... aaah, sorry everyone, i guess some people thought i was talking about the topsheet of skis. Damn, i meant like the topsheet of a box. I was thinking like mix up the mixture for the plastic and then like pour it ontop of the box (the coping would keep it from flowing off) then let it sit. I have no clue on how to make plastic so im not sure if this is possible

Might be able to do it if the plastic you made was strong enough. I'm sure it would be easier and might even be cheaper to just buy a sheet. Then you should glue it down to a wooden box so it doesnt move.

ya thats pretty much what i was thinking, cause im cheap. I did a little research into it and i found that polyeurathane (lexan, HDPE, other box surfaces) is made of mainly petroleum, so i'd use gas and i gotta find something that creates the chemical reaction that makes it form into plastic... maybe i'll ask my science teacher and get some extra credit.
