Making topsheets last longer?

I've just got a pair of Line Wallisch Pros with capwall sidewalls and as they are Lines I do have concerns about their durability. Has any of you sanded down the edge of the topsheet to round it off and potentially stop unnecessary chips?
 
Yes it's called tip sheet beveling ya nerddddddddd. Normally done with sandwich type skis though.

I made made a super sketchy video how to do it a while back. 0/10 wouldnt view again
 
I've been skiing with huge chips and have so much water in my ski and they are fine. But don't worry about it but if your concerned epoxy it some people duck tape their tips .
 
Ive heard that rental centers usually epoxy the topsheets along the edges since kids just bang their skis together and destroy the top sheets.

Funny because it's on the NS FB page now.

Somehow I believe the OP here was confused as nobody would shape a cap ski. So I assumed he had a sandwich construction ski.

I like what you did. Not the "race" method, but it seemed to do the trick better than not doing anything any day.

When you ski 100 plus days a year your skis will get fucked up no matter how much you baby them. People that get butthurt about that should stopskiing. Also who is dumb enough to leave their skis on an open rack overnight?

You can keep skis looking nice for damn well over 100 days. OP was asking about how to keep his skis nice, there's no need to come into the thread and start calling people pussies / talk shit just because you don't care about your skis.

Who said I don't care about my skis? After more than 100 days of skiing mainly street and park this season my skis are pretty fucked up.

What affect does having perfect looking topsheets have on your skiing? Having a couple chips on your topsheets is not a big deal. Look at people like Jake Carney that go through 6 pairs of skis a season. Would you say that he does not give a fuck about his skis or that he rides his skis hard and that is the result of that?

He goes through 6 pairs a season because he's riding 9's. Chips don't affect performance, but OP was simply asking how to keep his skis looking nice, not riding nice, and you chose to be a dick about it.
