Making the decision on buying skis

So, Im still a little bit stuck on my choice.

Im about 5'10, 140lbs (still growing), and I ski 100% park. I would like a ski that is softer then the Armada Ar6, as that is the last ski I had, and I wasnt a fan of the stiffness. I prefered my t-halls much more.

So I have looked around, and Im hoping to spend less that 400 on skis, and I will be buying last years model.

So, heres what Ive come up with:

178 Invaders

182 Atomic Punx

183 Watch Lifes (possibly too stiff)

179 Fujatives

Any other ideas would be much appreciated, or recommendations.

Thanks everyone, +Karma for help!

if you are willing to change your mind, i love the Lib Tech Nas ski, soooo sick, tons of pop, and does everything you need it to, but if your looking to a different ski id get the Atomic Punx

Woah, not often that lyndon has to ask us questions, hahahaha!

Right now I would think that your best option out of all of those would be the Fujitives. You're worried that Watch Lifes will be too stiff, so I'd say don't even bother with those. Invaders may be "too soft" if there is such a thing, and you may grow out of them to the point where you wash out on jumps. Punx might be okay, but I don't know much about them.

I know that the Fujitives have a nice flex, pretty soft, but can still hold up everywhere else. They're pretty durable and overall just a pretty good ski. I haven't ridden them, but that's what my opinion is.

Hopefully that helps. Good luck on your search man!

Ya man defs get the punx their are nice, light and poppy and perfectly symetrical so super sick for park. They have a sweet graphic too!

punx. a lot of pop, vertical sidewall, clean soft flex. what more do you want?

in my mind, the fujatives have too uneven of a flex and not a lot of life, and invaders are overkill soft, unless ur into that kinda thing. punx are the best blend

Here are some of my recommendations based on those you've brought up...

180cm Moment Reno Jibs (good all around symmetrical ski that rips everything park)

177cm Volkl Walls (theyre totally softer this year, and still light)

177cm Atomic Snoop Daddy (barely stiffer than anthems, and a much better ski, too - kinda heavy)

178cm Liberty Phil Larose (really light, snappy ski)

180cm Boone 93's (for obvious reasons)

Elan Pogosticks (not sure on the sizes, but they are insanely underrated skis)

179 Scott Crusades (I hear they are really sick from my mate)

AR^ is one of the softest skis out there. Almost all of the skis mentioned here are stiffer.

Line invaders aren't that soft, they just have the butter zones. If you want the softness for butters they'll work. Other than that, Disorderlys are about the same flex as AR6, and STLs are softer.

Check the graphs for a rough idea: http://www.friflyt.no/files/SFI_2008.pdf

True that.. i was just mentioning alternatives.

If you can find some older ARV's, those would be quite on the soft side..

4frnt TNK's are pretty damn softy

Lastly, check out what Ninthward has this season. Reviews i've heard are that they are quite freaking soft (a polar opposite to their former selves) ever since they changed manufacturers. I also hear their topsheets dont completely suck like before, and are rather alright now.

Maybe the Fischer Addicts? I havent ridden them or anything, but i hear they are soft.

Wow, thats everyone and +Karma.

I can get the Punx for 300, or some TM's for the same price. Im going to have to go for a roadtrip to a shop and see for myself, but at least i have a good idea of what im looking for.

Thanks. Its looking like punx.
