Making Skis?

I'm thinking on making my own skis while i wait for winter so how exactly would this work? I know it's not going to be easy but i really would like to start. I think I'm just going to make skis for myself, friends and family.

So what how exactly would a beginner like me learn how to make skis?

What materials do i need?

How much will everything cost? (ski press, edge bender ect.)

All the help would be great. Once again i know it won't be something that just comes to me as some of you might say, it takes lots of work and patience.

Thanks

Be prepared to spend at least twice what you think will be your max cost.

It's going to be a hell of a lot of work.

Skibuilders.com is where you should start.

If you're just doing it to mess around and not really that serious about making a lot of skis you should check out a vaccum bag instead of a press- a lot cheaper but the skis won't be as high quality as a press

it's gonna cost way way way more than buying a pair of skis retail but if you have spare cash and feel like skiing something new, go for it
you need lots and lots of epoxy and a small room with no ventilation
