Yeah I have someone near me that welds but I have a few questions

1: what metal?

2: where to get it?

3: how hard/easy would it be?

Steel. No aluminum

Fleet Farm, Menards, Farm & Fleet, any hardware store really

It depends on your experience level

I still don't get why you put so many legs under it

Also I was joking. Get steel, don't rock galvanized though. Depends on where you live, you could probably find pieces that would work at a scrapyard worst case. Can order it and get it delivered if you got a steel business around. Not that hard. Price depends on what you use but not THAT expensive unless you wanna go fat tubes and then it's pretty much a find that shit used or spend a ton.

A rail the size you're probably building could be done and for probably 250 and skirted for 300. That could get you something around 24'ish. You wouldn't really want to go too small either with kink rails. The lengths sound longer until you make them. At the absolute minimal you want 6' when you're talking df kinks or it's a tiny.

But after all that your best bet is just building one out of wood and using pvc. Can do it for super cheap and actually make them pretty nice. If you really like the size, really want a metal one, and feel like dropping a few bucks on tools/have access to tools and want to fuck around with metal than have at it.

Steel rails are great, but pvc is fine for everything in the backyard. I like steel, I work with it, I hate pvc honestly, but I don't do anything in the yard anymore. I had a pvc flat rail at one point and that was great for what I needed it for. It's cheap, and god enough to live up to backyard abuse. VEry easy to work with. You could build the whole thing with a mediocre saw and a drill. A nice miter saw helps if you wanna make it ballin and even those are like 60 for a 10 inch at home depot so not too shabby.

Im half asleep and don't know what the fuck im saying though

All you said made perfect sense. Thank you

Oh yeah, angles.

I'm the kind of guy that likes to build things mellow and tickable so maybe you want more of a "survival rail" where making it off the end clean is the goal and any tricks are next level. I usually do about 12.5 degrees on down flat kinks. May sound super mellow but it works and people actually trick them. It definitely feels like a dfd or df but you don't have that crazy kick in the kink where just surviving it is a challenge.

Might not be the easiest way but it's easy for me. To get the angle I just figure out how high to pull the one end up from a flat line. Granted it's not exact but it's pretty damn close and for me it's easy so I do it. You don't have to do it that way but I'm just saying that's how I roll.

If it's going in your yard and you want to be able to use it in low snow consider making the bottom of the frame flat. So you have the top doing a dfd and the bottom going flat or down when you set it up. That way you don't have to mess with burying the legs or trying to stand the middle up on stuff in the summer.

Pretty much get your dfd top frame together, and then lay out a bottom bar the same length then frame it in from there. Would probably work best if you have a miter saw so you can get any of the angles real easy. Definitely pound a few into place so it's solid. If for some reaoson it's still wobbley through some cross bracing in. Flip the 2x4s the other way then cut both sides of them to get that nice 45 ish cut. IF you pound those into place and do an X on each section, that thing will be fucking bullet proof. The rails that kind of bounce when you hit them in the summer, yours wont be one of them.

This is technically overkill for what you need but it wont cost you much more as 2x4s are cheap and if you're going to build it, why not over build the piss out of it. I had a 17' drop in at one point that I think would have outlasted my parents house. I bought a bunch of extra 24s maybe got a tiny bit high and when all out with the miter saw and pounding the braces in with a mallet. Unnecessary as fuck, OR WAS IT? If you plan on shredding during earthquakes tornados or just don't want your shit to fall apart fucking send it son.

/more riddles and things and questionable logic.

find a sick dfd somewhere school, bank, police station, etc cut that shit up with a hack saw, put it in your yard, profit.

no seriously though make a pvc and wood one if you have no access to a welder.you can find a ton of tutorial videos on youtube

A police station would be the worst possible place
