Making PVC Stronger

I had an idea about making PVC stronger just so it doesn't crack when you disaster or land on it hard.  What if you put a cap (whatever, duct tape, find whatever would work) and fill the rail with water?  Then it would freeze, and make it more solid... Just wondering if anybody has tried this and if it is a good idea or not?

well when water freezes it expands, so if you fill it full it would shatter the pvc, and if you filled it so it didn't break, i think it would break eaier because instead of the pvc bending a little bit when u land on it, it couldn't go anywhere, so it might just shatter when u land

THE pvc would break on impact. its like jumping on a thing piece of ice. The PVC will then freeze. It will cause all types of problems. Honestly PVC is quite strong. IF you are worried i would go with 1/2 inch PVC. It wouldn't break. If i does call me out.

theres yur answer. I found that instead of using pvc pipes go to your company in your town that repairs roads (my dad works for them) and get some of those pvc things in the right of the pic.there like semi circles of pvc and there thick.last forever. best pic i could find.

If you were to fill it with sand it would work. You still want the PVC to be able to flex a little, because that's what it's meant to do and that's how it dissapates energy

you should stuff a thick wooden dowel inside the pvc, that would add the strength of the pvc to the strength of a peice of wood. i think that would be solid.

that would work as well, as dowels are usually standard size and will fit perfectly in the pvc pipe
