making own music

anyone know of any good downloads to make your own music. i downloaded some but can't find one that really works good. i have hammerhead, and porpellerhead but want something better.

this is a stupid question, but are you trying to mix samples or mix stuff you're recording??? like exactly what're you doing. cubase products are the best sound stuff you can get...if you get back to me i'll ask my friend who does it for a living and give you some answers.

they are like beat machines, you have different tracks like one is a bass drum, one is snare, or you can bring in your own samples and use different controls to shape the sound. its simple.

acid 3.0 or something is good.. my roomate uses that, he makes crazy beats
