Making edits

Whats up NS, I want to start making edits, I've never really made one before, and I wanted to know what editing programs/software you guys use. I have a PC with Windows XP, and I tried Movie Maker but I couldn't get any of my GoPro videos onto it. +K if ya help me.
 
Dude I heard a new editing program called searchbar just came out, I heard it is really easy to use and helps you learn new stuff.
 
i would just torrent cs5 and watch tutorials and mess around with it. it will be the best for you in the long run.
 
But Avid is more proffesionally based and premier will be easier to learn and understand for someone who seems to not know to much about editing software.
 
try corel videostudio pro x4

i got it using a torrent (on youtube) and its very easy to use and has a lot of very professional effects and stuff. i use it along with vegas pro 10 because im not good at making edits in vegas yet, so i just use it to add a special effect to a clip then add it to the edit in corel.

Any good ones that are easy to use and free that I don't have to torrent? +K for answers. I just need a simple on cause I'm starting to make edits this season, and no, not Movie Maker. Thanks.
