Making a rail

I was thinking of making a rail out of my old trampoline and i was wondering if anyone had a good idea on how to make the rail and what a good shape for it would be

 
go to a local meatal shop buy some channel stock. and make a step down rail works great.

ive made 2 rails and a box... box is a wood frame with metal coping and wood topsheet. i made a 8ft shotgun pvc rail which is sweet and the other is a 10 foot metal rail.. i drilled it up from under the wood

i just made a little 10 ft pvc shotgun and it slides real nice. i've only been able to use it in the rain so far, though.

stig, mig, aluminum mig, good ol brazing with the torch. It's gonna be a bitch the straighten out the metal of a trampoline frame. So either make a c-rail or go buy some 2x6 square tubeing.

even 2x4 box stock will work its lighter and cheeper. then get some 2x2 box for legs. u can use it fo the feet 2 or 2' angle iron works just as good. the find a welder.. the trampoline may not work depening on the type of metal used to make it. i think most of the trampline frAMES iv seen were aluminum and that shits way harder to weld. if its galvinzed steal be carful the gas that comes off it when welding is posiness and it will make u sick. i puked like 3 times and was all dizzy .. bad shit.

 
^hahaha yeah i know what you mean, 'zinc chills'. i've never got them. what the hell were you thinking welding something with zinc in it? anywho, most tramps are aluminum, so it'll be fairly easy to weld, so just buy a tig welder and fucking weld you rail and make it already.

 
just buy some steel and find a welder and say 'put this here put that there and curve it here or kink it here' then he will say 'Okay' then you will say 'how much do I owe you?' and he will say '$50' and you say okay. then you can still have a tramp

you could do that, but it's better to keep ur tramp(unless ur getting a new one or it broke) and just make a rail w/wood and pvc. look at skizeheeze's profile, he made an s ral
