making a rail

wats some of the stuff u could use for a rail and like how would u put it togetehr and stuff got any ides thanx just a straight rail

Obviously welding one out of metal would be best but i just made a real simple one out of PVC and wood. Make your base out of wood, thats kinda simple so you should be able to do that, then attach your PVC pipes at the top. I made a double barrel out of PVC that was like 16 feet long so it was pretty easy.

Weld two bits of round long bits of steel together side by side, add some steel legs and put a flat base on those legs to burry it into the snow

if you want something cheap, the use PVC and wood. its fairly durable and won't make a hole in your pocket.

another would be to have a wooden base and a metal rod or pipe on top. this would make the rail fairly durable and would not require any welding.

just do a search on this topic cause there have been tons of other questions just like this one

ya i think im gonna take two pvc pipes then screw them into wood at the bottom for support

yeah its soo cheap, i paid like 35 for my rail max. I put holes in the pvc pipe at the top and then screwed in the screws through the top into the bottom and the wood, it was sooo stable

anyone know what surfaces and shit to put down to ski it in the summer? everyone says carpet but do we have specifics

use 2x4's and then drill up through thwem and into the pipe. pop a screw into the hole you just drilled. bam your done.

depends on size. also, if you use pvc, make sure it isnt super cold because then it will break easier. fill it with sand too.2 pvc pipes would make it much smoother

ok u could easly find a peice of scrap metal piping anywere, then u simply take a drill drill a while in it then take a screw and screw teh screw threw the hole into the wood, is that to complicated or what?

 
im not gonna say anymore then pvc is gay and as soon as u get good and start to spin onto rails its gonna break so yea do whatever you want

it wont break at all if you do what i did. for hte top, get 4 1/2 inch pvc pipes, screw them into a 2x4. then just build the rest of hte rail

they come in 8' lengths. it helps to fill it with sand and somehow cap the ends.also, 4 isnt really nessacary but better

i read how mauii made a rail and it was cool. using plexi glass for the sliding surface and wood frame. i guess its more of a box but im gonna make one

just make a rail out of snow. pack it down really hard. its better than what any fo these people are saying. if you dont use snow you da fool
