ok, im making a longobard deck with some friends who are making their own too. i got the right wood and

i made a practice deck on cheaper wood and got everything down, that is exept for what to use to glue

the layers of ply together. i need something thats mad strong but also can flex and stretch a little because

the boards going to have some flex. anyone built one before or have any ideas what to use?

also im going to use gorilla glue cus that shit foams up and expands.

let me get this straight. You want to know what glue to use, but you have decided to use gorilla glue?

First of all gorilla glue is not going to be cost-effective. Try to find a wood glue called "titebond III" (3). Or if you fail at that just use some wood glue. to apply the glue pour a couple blobs onto the veneer then roll an even coat with a paint roller. do this to both sides of very veneer so when stuck together glue is sticking to glue (obviously not the top and bottom plies tho) then put something heavy on it and try to get even pressure.

Ps. what kinda wood are you using

alright sorry thats a typo, im NOT going to use gorilla glue, for the reasons i said.

and i got some prety thin brch plywood, unfinished

epoxy or wood glue that they use for boats. It also depends on if your using a press or just clamping it and how long you want to wait for it to dry.

a two part epoxy is your best bet, it a little more expensive than regular wood glue but it is worth it if your serious about quality. Plain wood glues can get weak in the heat and the layers will separate just because of the boards flex

... is the NS of longboarding.

go on there, make an account, and search the shit out of it. homebuilding longboards is WAY more popular than homebuilding building skis, there's a lot of info on there from people who know their shit.

Speaking of longboarding, if anybody ever ends up in Rochester, NY, you're more than welcome to come and shred parking garages with me; I skate pretty much nightly until it starts snowing. Send me a PM.

haha when i made one a few years ago i took a 1x6 cut notches on the sides for the trucks with wheels cut the sides into a triangle and called it a longboard it was sweet
