Make Your Own Poster

After getting fed up trying to find a decent poster I decided I'm gonna make my own at Wal Mart for like 20 bucks. Question though, do you know how big the picture needs to be for it to look decent on a 2x3 foot poster? I found some stuff thats like 1600x1200 and a bit bigger. Is that going to look retarded blown up? if anyone whose done it before can lemme know that would be great. Thanks.

usually anything under 300 dpi will look like shit.

probably want at least 2000x2000 on a 2x3 poster, but anything over 1500x1500 should look okay blown up.
