Make me backflip

drink either redbull or monster till you feel like you are going to have a heart attack, then drink 1 more, a backflip will no longer seem so scary.

Once you throw your first over rotated one on a pow jump that’s shaped like the Pixar moon you will have no more fear of going upside down. Just wait for a nice pow day and build that quarter pipe looking jump and give it a go.

Build a kicky ass jump in to a soft or steep landing, pop and be patient on your flip to avoid obliterating your head off the lip. Godspeed

Valid. The sidewalls of park jump knuckles can be pretty good for em if people have been using it as a hit/ theres a path carved in that is steep and kicky. If you're already comfy doing them without skiis and you're on a kicky jump you should be fine since your body knows the rotation

If Mingg can backflip, you can backflip

seriously lol I was more scared to hit a medium-large park jump than I was to huck it on a small kicker lol. I died. But I still did it. You got it ?

It's all joever if you don't do it on skis

Last time I gave someone the confidence to backflip it didn’t end well, gotta want to do it without help from anyone

Lol yeah same I was at this tiny hill in the middle of nowhere and found a sketch sidehit to get a backflip (I did eat shit my first attempt popped too early). Some kid saw me land it the second time and was convinced he could do a backflip 180. I hyped him up and said pop big and he ended up landing on his neck :o

i do have an issue tho, my abs hurt like hell after a couple. Maybe I'm throwing too much with my head and not popping enough with my hips idk tho

is it a really small jump? it really shouldn't be too physically demanding unless you're hucking it around on a tiny jump

but yes, it should be in the hips for sure. you spot with your head and that also affects how your bring yourself around but your head is definitely not the body part physically causing the flip

its the biggest one we have at the mountain but its still small as hell. my form is definitely the problem, I'll try using my hips more.

True. It happens. Could be from yanking them around on smaller jumps, or just not using those muscles. I def remember getting that first couple days of the season. A mix or not riding since spring, and having small as jumps to chuck them off start of season. Keep doing them though. Obviously don't hurt yourself, take a little break or don't chuck so many till it feels better.

It's crazy how fast you get them dialed and can throw them off any jump anywhere.

Def post clips. Props on learning em! Best feeling trick

Mad props bro. Good form, gnarly icy landing… good on ya

find a side hit on the side of a run, thats what made my first, its really like a 270 backflip but it helps progress, just dont die though
