Concerning Americans ignorance of other countries: I think it comes down to that people in the U.S. don't have to know anything about other countries, because we are the supposed leading power. Other countries have more knowledge of us because we are viewed by many as being at the top. News about America is shown everywhere. You say an American is ignorant about Canada, I'm sure people over in Western Europe can be just as ignorant about Canada. They're sure not getting Canadian news.

As for America being stupid. Hmmmm... so is Canada a place full of world accredited universities. Do people come from all over the world to go to school in Canada the same way they do the states? Do people leave America to go find a job within the Canadian economy.

I know this thread wasn't intended to be serious but whatever.

 
maybe canada might be veiwed by some people as being at the top ( most likely crackheads with overgrown mullets), but america is known around the world as the top, the best, as good as it gets, because it is. Thats why everyday people put their lives on the line to come to the america. i say fuck canada and we should blow them up next
