Major League Lacrosse

Do you think the sport will ever actually be taken seriously?

I mean people always say that lacrosse is such a big growing sport but not many people think it will ever sky rocket in popularity..... so what do you think?

Not only is it the fastest growing sport in this and other countries right now, but the MLL is the fastest growing professional sport.

There are tons of new teams coming out every few years and it is getting major cooperate sponsorships.

Yes it will grow and people already take it seriously.

i dont really think MLL will get very big. They play in small college "stadiums" around me. i go to the games but its not great, i think the good players will always go to it but college will still be more watched and popular

It's definitely getting there ecomically and everything. My Rochester Rattlers have a legit stadium that they share with the pro soccer team. They are attracting a much broader audience all the time. As far as the actual lacrosse, I'm not sure if it'll ever beat college ball.

im not really into MLL cause i think once college lacrosse players get into the MLL they just stop trying. i like to watch more college and high school games cause theyre more intense.

I wish the MLL would just play regular lacrosse, with the same rules as college and high school. I think it would be much more fun to watch than now when they have all these weird rules

I think it will, I mean IMO I think Lacrosse and hockey are two of the best sports going. Hockey has caught on fairly well in places were kids can't really play it. I mean I can imagine it being very difficult to find a hockey stick in Florida to play street let alone a rink to play ice in and I think for a sport to grow you need a grassroots base of kids growing up playing the sport and they can do that with Lacrosse.

Dont get me wrong im not dissing the sport because i love it and want it to grow huge, but at the same time i cant see it doing so, because just two years ago a midfielder for one of the teams was drinking a beer on the sidelines. he then ran on the field so who knows...

nah it won't be. There's a huge array of sports to watch and follow and nobody has time to watch anything other than the 3 major American sports. Hockey has been around for a loooooong time and it's still not as big as it deserves to be.

it is becoming big, its fast paced and fun to watch. Its even on espn2 sometimes and the goalie helmet cam is cool to.

The Mammoth play in Denver at the Pepsi Center (nuggets and avalanche). They sell more tickets per game than the nuggets do and is taken pretty seriously in Colorado
