Majesty Vandal

Just came across the Majesty Vandal, honestly looks like a great ski. They're supposed to be lightweight, durable, and playful enough for you to have some fun. 74_jordy skis them but otherwise I haven't really seen them anywhere. Anyone have experience with them?

Ive skied 90ish days on mine this season, and they might be my favorite ski. They are a little stiff for butters but they break in super nicely. They carve really well even when the edges are pretty fucked, (which mine are). On rails, they are super light and I can spin them plenty, and the slight rocker helps my tips and tails not hit the ground when I pretzel on low rails. They are also stiff enough for me to go big on jumps and land good and shit. Durability is pretty good, but not the best. I do have to give them a huge amount of credit because 90 days of park and they still are skiable, but within the last week or two of skiing the edges started to come out a little and the side walls were opening up underfoot exposing the base. That being said, They lasted me the entire season and I ski rails all the time. The topsheet gets chipped a little bit, but not a crazy amount, and i did get a noticable chip on the tip of my ski that started to peel up, but it didnt get any worse even though i did nothing about it. Overall, i loved skiing these and I'm considering buying another pair for next season.

Damn, they sound awesome. I had the Bent 85s last season and they got completely destroyed after only like 50 days (top sheet peeled like crazy, got a core shot, and the layers started literally peeling apart) so I’m worried about durability lmao. And in terms of butters, can you nose / tail press pretty easily after they break in?

im tallish and pretty skinny and I kinda suck at butters but yea i could butter them fine. I dont like doing a lot of tailpresses though because i dont like putting all my weight on my tibia like that. Its doable though they arent thaat stiff, plus they are really poppy when u do butter them

I had the yellow ones from last gen.

If i were you I would get the newest generation tho.

More modern.

I sold mine and got the mfree 99 instead.

Where do you mount them? Recommended or anything else?

I mount mine true center. I think reccomended is true center as well but its possibly -1. Either way, worth it to mount true center. Make sure to measure tip to tail and tail to tip when mounting so you are ACTUALLY true center
