Maine NSers Help Me Out

So I'm going up to Maine in August with my family, and I thought some of you could help me find cool shit to do. Where are some cool hiking areas and cliff jumping spots? Thanks a bunch

Because Maine is such a small place...

Will you be in Acadia? Baxter State Park? Maine is a very diverse state geographically, with each region offering many different options.

Lol yeah help us out with where you're gonna be.

If you're up the coast definitely check out Acadia national park and just the bar harbor area in general.

If you're gonna be down south by portland.

1. If you skate bring your board. Portland is awesome and they have a great park.

2. So many dank restaurants and shops

3. Check out fort Williams. It's free and it's an old world war 1 base you can roam around.

4. Old orchard beach. Small amusement park, arcade, fried food, bars, and it's all on the ocean

I dunno those are just some quick ideas. Feel free to hit me up if u have questions

If you like stereotypical Jersey Shore and French Canadians, go here! If not, stay very far away. Source: I live 10 minutes away. If you're tryna beach it, go right next door in Scarborough. Best sand beaches in Maine.

As far as hiking and cliff jumping, check out the Sebago Lake area. Frye's Leap is kinda the go-to cliff jumping spot. There are some good small hikes around there too. Douglass Mountain and Shawnee Peak are two good ones.

Rangeley is another great area. Lakes, mountains, hikes, camping, you name it.

Baxter State park is super rad too. Not touristy at all, as it's in the middle of nowhere. Katahdin's a cool hike to knock off a bucket list and soak in the Maine scenery.

Acadia/Bar Harbor is a must, as previously said.

If you're tryna shop, Freeport and Kittery are the outlet store meccas. South Portland has the Maine Mall.

If you find something that looks cool, feel free to PM me and I may have something to say about it!

Yes old orchard is generally full of tourists in the summer. Doesn't mean you can't still have a good time. Depending on where you'll be and how long you'll be there all ideas stated are great.

Where you gun be at boiii? It makes all the difference.

Haha sorry guys I didn't mean to underestimate the size of the state. We'll mainly be in the Acadia/Bar Harbor area, and a little bit in Rockport.

I don't know much about bar harbor but spent last summer in Rockport. I love Maine and you are going to some of the most gorgeous spots. Hope you have a good time!

1. Jump off public dock in rockport harbor. 15ish+ feet depending on tide. (I wouldn't do it at super low tide)

2. Hike/drive camden hills. You can drive up Mt. Battie but I recommend hiking up Mt. Megunticook. Not very long hike and great views of penobscot bay.

3. If your parents want to eat some really good food at a nice restaurant go to Shepards Pie in Rockport. Had the two of the best meals of my life there.
