ya i think it is... if i could rank new england states it would be

maine

vermont

new hampshire

massachusetts

rhode island

connecticut

I live in CT and i would also agree...its not moving to the top! my list goes like this

VT

MA

ME

NH

RI

CT

RI only beats out CT because of the beaches...other then that it is as shitty as NJ

are you kidding?

how old are you?

this place isn't that bad. I work 2 jobs, ride a mtn bike 5 days a week, wake board on weekends, BBQ daily and have a girl friend. I kind of like CT and that's just my summer.

i live in ct and it kinda sucks, no beach, i dont have a boat, and all there is to do is mtn bike

yea jarrod CT isnt that bad i mean i mountain bike a couple days a week. golf some. im gona ski my backyard set up tommarow when its done. i just wish there was surfable waves that would make it alot better

maine. I'm sitting here right now. and i'd like to throw out that we party in the woods like no other state.

Maine is pretty beat unless you love camping, VT in the burlington Area is my favorite but NH is sweet because there is some quality surf at times!

maine would be nothing with out mass, i mean they have no sports teams, aside from the coast and a few cities they just have a bunch of trees( ok and a few good mountains), i mean why do you think we disowned maine to begin with? we could take you back if we find you have something of value, o yea and isnt your motto the way life should be? yea clearly they've never lived in mass or they'd know thats bs

I think most agree CT is the worst state in New England so I say we start a petition to exile CT from New England and send it over to the mid Atlantic where it belongs!

I'm mid atlantic being from pennsyvania, but i would agree with thread starter that maine is the best New England state. I spend more skiing and vacation in maine than in my own state. It's pretty big ya gotta give it that, been climbing and kayaking in acadia, hiking and camping in baxter for katahdin, and ski sugarloaf several times every winter. It started when my friend went to U of ME Fort Kent, we visited him about a dozen times over two or three years and loved every minute of it.

But to be fair VT and NH are great too and besides skiing and a little hiking I haven't spent as much time there so they are probably just as good.

Love the Northeast???????? Check out the N'east Magazine.

In case you're wondering, my friends think i'm crazy to take so many maine road trips a year but whatever, it makes my drives to vermont feel so much shorter.

Allentown PA---->Fort Kent ME= 14 hours

Allentown PA---->Mad River Glen VT= 6.5 hours

massholes need to shut the fuck up. maine is the most diverse new england state for sure. crazy ass coast with beaches and cliffs further downeast, nice mtns (real mtns, katahdin blows washington and mansfield away). but everyone is right about actually living there. it sucks ballz. im not sure that vt and nh would be any better though. ct and ri do not exist as far as im concerned

Your an idiot Maine had two sports teams. We have the Portland Sea Dogs, where the Red Sox get a lot of their players from. and we have the Portland Pirates, the farm team of the Mighty Ducks. Maine, New Hampshire,Connicticut, and Rhode Island have minor league baseball teams. and Maine, Connicticut and Rhode Island have minor league Hockey Teams. The only state that doesnt have a sports team is vermont. Mass did not "disown maine". they had to sepperate us into two states so that there would be the same number of free states as slave states after the LA purchase or some shit.

i live 5 minutes away from at least 3 beaches with good waves that i surf frequently, 5 minutes from the maine mall, 5 minutes from a movie theater with 16 screens, 5 minutes away from 2 different go-karting places with fast karts and sick tracks,7 minutes from downtown portland, where they set up a fd rail and a flat box in one of the parks in the winter, 30 minutes from a lake that my friends and i jetski and wakeskate at, 1:30 from sunday river, 2:30 from sugarloaf, and between 1:30 and 2:00 from boston depending on traffic.

if people from mass think its so great why don't they stay down there, instead of coming north and infesting me, nh, and vt.

haha good call. I'm from Mass but lived in Maine for 5 years, Mass doesn't have shit on Maine.... or New Hampshire and Vermont for that matter unless you like tons of people and assholes everywhere. If you are into anything outdoor related Maine should be on the top of your list.

naw if any of you came down to brookline you would probably think its so dope. Mad nice houses and parks and hills and rails to hit but its cross between suburb and city, a green island surrounded by beantown so you can just walk 10 mins and your in the heart of the 617, hitup hundreds of college partys, smoke some of the undeniably best tree in the east coast, poach some bars, concerts, play some golf, leave your house unlocked all the time, skate down by the harbor, do some shopping and grab some rare SBs, bape and every possible 59fifty, then walk back 10 minutes and your back in time to hit up some of the highest rated reastuants in the east all 5 mins from my street. if you dont have a car the T stop is 5 mins away to take you anywhere, from selling rock in dorchester to fly fishing . holla

Burlington is sick too

ya i probably would rather live in eastern mass instead of southern maine , but next year i wil probably go to college in boston anyway, but i would much rather live in maine than vermont, but thats probably because i surf.

Yea the Frostheaves ABA Champs their inaugural year, go Heaves.

RI and CT suck balls. Mass is alright only because of Boston and the beaches. NH and ME are tied and VT is the shit.

please explain that to the countless massholes that come up near midcoast maine and drive like absolute retards, take 6 hours to play a round of golf, and drive 10mph when they drive past a 'scenic' area

i live in mass...its not THAT bad. i manage to have fun! but as far as a list, i'd say:

ME

NH/VT tied

MA

RI

CT

maine is the shit. i plan on living there when im older
