Maidens?

189 is perfect for park and powder. Don't listen to all these people. just center mount them and you'll be able to butter, jib, spin...everything.

 
thats what i meant so the 179's would be more like 184, and if that was true then i would be fine with getting them cause the 189's would be like 194 and that is really long.

 
You got it wrong my friend, thats not how they measure. From tip to tip the 189's would actually be like 187 or something.

 
No you got it backwards man 1 pimpin is right k2 measures skis from the part that has contact with the snow so a 189 is probably more like a 194 or something. I'm about 5'10" to 5'11" and about 160 pounds would i be able to ski the 189 maidens? I would probably mount them core center or just a little back so i could spin with them. Would 189 be too big though if i wanted to ski trees or some occasional park?

mrkt321 is right, ther are over 179, as are all k2's, I know I have three pairs.

theres no way they can be 187. You must suck @ measuring. I have 179 fujas and they are smaller than me and im like 185cm tall

yeah, so incase you ^ didn't catch that i was exaggerating a bit! i was just saying how they measure longer not shorter because i know 189's don't measure 187. but seriously if we keep at this we could make it to the third page arguing over a ski size. How cool would that be.

I am a strong skier, 6'5" 175# (lanky).

I ride the 189 Made'ns at +5 cm, Rossi Scratch 120 bindings, Salomon Pro Model boots.

They are plenty, PLENTY big for me.

I would get a 179 at +5/+6. It will spin. It will be agile. It will still have so much surface area, you will float in pow np. You will get plenty of float AND be danker in the park.

Just my 2 cents.

 
Yeah since the 179's are actually more like 183's or around there they are probably long enough for my build. They'll also be better for spinning or the park. How much different is +5 than center?
