Maiden Ak's

I havent heard too much about them, how are they for an all mountain ski, i know they rip in powder...but are they good in anything else. How do they carve on hardpack?

NS ARMY

they're big mountain machines judging by their specs, i wouldn't use them as an all-mountain ski, too fatt. go with something a little narrower, like 4frnt MSPs or Publics, they are both sick all-mountains

they are 108 mm in the waist...a little large for groomers. If u want somehting to do EVERYTHING? get the pistols

they are not like the pistols at all. they are actually much different and softer or something. some dudes ride them in the park, but they are beasts and can handle them. but i think they work everyhwhere

i almost bought them, but sadly i went with the pistols...no regrets though. talk to tanakaskier he has them, although appears to refuse to comment on them.

they are for everything...but try and keep them off the ice. they love rails and pipe.

andy, make k2 give me madens, mr race rep says theyre oversold... and they owe me... something.

but yeah, its weird, looking at them, theyre so wide that they dont look like they have any sidecut... but they do... but then again they dont look that wide.

so uh... +2... +3?

Made'ns are almost out, so you can only find them in stores. The Made'n is made for everything. Do not be afraid. Educate yourself.

my brother has them...they are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick

I skied my made'ns on hardpack at Abasin recently just cause I couldn't wait for goddamned summit Co to get some snow. Really not bad at all considering the girth and lack of sidecut. They actually rage on the shit, super stable and turning is not a problem. They are sick for rails, but super heavy and difficult to spin. I am pretty light though, so if you have more body weight, shouldn't be a real issue. They are gonna be ridiculous in pow though, can't wait.

If you're looking for something for everyday, I wouldn't reccomend. Go with pistols in that case. If you've got some PE's though and just want to expand your quiver, go with the Made'ns.

Oh yeah, I've got mine (179s) @ 3+, they're sick at that point, but I would'nt go much further. Go at the reccomended if you only want them for pow days.

^I think you are wrong, first you should buy the madns over the pistol cause their softer, second you should center mount the madns, no exceptions.

mine are at +10.5...any farther back and you might as well skiboard. they spin just fine...just gotta edumacate yourself like schmies said.

Hey, its all subjective, you know. Im educated, no doubt, ive skied them a few times in the park already. Thing is im a 130lb chick and its alot of ski to throw around for anybody, don't kid yourself. Im not knockin the skis at all, They RIP, but not the best park ski for your average skier in my opinion. Im sure they are alot easier to swing center mounted, like any other ski, but I don't think I would like how they ski as much at that point. 3+ gives you plenty of tail, but to each their own. Consider yourself lucky if you can get your paws on some of these boards.
