after reading a retarded post a few threads down I thought about this

to replace bindings just a big fucking magnet on the top of your skis and the bottom of your boots

Better yet, attach the bindings to the ski with crazy strong electro magnets that way you can have one pair of bindings for all your skis, and be able to move it around on one ski for park/pow or whatever. That would be fuckin sick.

HOVER RAILS

you take 2 rails and space them apart like 5 inches. point them towards eachother at a 43.703 degree angle like this / \

then just jump in the middle and itll speed you up like youre going over the arrows in zero-g

also it could replace lift lines. take a bunch of the magnets and position them like this \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ so you have continuous propulsion all the way up to the top of the mountain like a bullet train.
 
Haha, you'd need some serious electromagnets to get that happening. Magnetism is one of the weakest forces, along with gravity.

 
On the topic of awesome ideas, I think they should make a video game called Grand Theft Porpoise. It would be EXACTLY like Grand Theft Auto, but instead of cars, you steal porpoises, blow up porpoises, and drunk drive porpoises into large crowds of innocent bystanders, who are dumbstruck by the fact that they've just been annihilated by a porpoise.
 
the ski WOULD come off.

it's called a dildo release. you step on the back of your magnet bindings and a lever with 200psi hydraulic pressure pushes your boot out.

and you could put magnets on the bottom of the skis too. that way, you could make rails out of magnets and just float above them! or, you could lock on to regular metal rails really easily. or you could put a super-electro magnet at the lip of the jump that would push the magnets in your skis away, so that way you could launch really far up in the air!
 
Wait. this could be sick, like tha prototype lazer ski's from the armada video a few years back.

Well just imagine if you could harness the power of dark energy in your skis. It appears that dark energy is causing our universe to expand at an accelerating rate, pushing everything away from everything else. Dark energy appears to be stronger than both gravity and electromagnetism, in addition to the other two forces, the strong and weak atomic force. Anyway, the dark energy on the bottoms of your skis would react violently with the snow/rail/known matter or energy and result in you being catapulted into another dimension. So basically it would be like hitting a jump and never returning to the earth again!
 
fist of all we still have no mathematical understanding of dark matter, and secondly have almost no clue how to manipulate it.
 
dark matter is different than dark energy, dark energy is a hypothetical energy all over space that is hypothetically expanding the universe as we speak
