anybody ski here? imo it's the best mountain in southern/central vt if you're looking for some sick natural terrain

park skiers, this is not a good place for you, but for those of you who like lots of little rocks, drops, steeps, and trees, come to magic!

it is also never crowded. i was there in the heart of MLK weekend and liftlines were about a minute long for a double chair

i will most likely be there next weekend
 
i normally wouldn't want to broadcast such uncrowded, great terrain, but they need money. They are going for a MRG style co-op deal, but are not selling enough shares at this point. I really hope they make it through next season. I think powder should do an article on them for "little places that rock"
 
Magic is truly an undiscovered mountain. There are some sick tree runs that are steep as shit. I went there on a Saturday last year and there was literally no lift line.
 
Another thing thats great about Magic is their "Earn Your Turns" policy. If you skin up, no lift ticket required.
 
i own $100 of a share of Magic, generally each share is $3000 so if you do a group initiative where 30 people give 100 then you can make up your share

yep i normally wouldn't advertise Magic but they really need as much business as they can get

help keep alive the one of the best mtns in new england
 
Super sick mountain. Awesome terrain. Tons of character on the trails.

Open Fridays-Mondays, and any day after a 6" or more snowfall.

Check it out. I can't wait to get back there. It's a real nice change from the mega-resorts with no soul.

Just wish they had better snowfall!

the snow gods are toying with VT right now. 3+ft in washington and 4 inches tops in southern VT? i reallyyy hope end of feb-march we get hammered, we need it.
i couldn't agree more though, Magic slaysss southern-mid VT for pow/tree skiing.
 
No it has not. 60 some inches of snowfall. That little snowfall is not good for anywhere that relies on natural snowfall with limited manmade coverage.

Either way, I plan on being there on the 27th with a group of people.
