I tend to get frustrated with freeskier magazine. I think it is because transworld snowboarding magazine covers so much and always has new stuff on the site. I understand that the ski industry is a couple of years behind the snowboard industry but, where do you draw the line? I ask you NS. what magazine do you prefer?
 
my favorite is The Ski Journal as this is the only magazine, myself, dad and brother all fight over when it comes in the mail. Sure it costs a lot more, but is totally worth it. Anybody have a copy of the first issue they want to sell me?
 
I get Powder and Skiing. My mom got me skiing i get me Powder. I love Powder personally i think its pretty legit.
 
I ordered skiing because it was only $10 for 3 years and some free stuff but I really don't know much about it. Is it good?
 
Skiing mag is shorter, I dont think it is as freeski orientated as powder, but I still like it alot. you should be happy
 
Also, hate to be a hater< but if a subscription is $10 for 3 years...why wouldn't you? I mean, I could stop eating chip with my Subway sandos for a month and pay for that. Right? Or quit using condoms on night per month for a year? Or never by another bagel in my life? Or ride my bike to the store 3 days per month? But really, subscribe to Freeskier and stay sober for 3 days. Paid.
 
Thanks for the love. If you guys are into snowboarding, you should check out Snowboarder Magazine. They share an office, a bromance, and too many brews with the Powder crew.
 
beacause:1. skiing needs to become more multi-fascited, one style and all the same tricks does not make for an interesting read, or better sales. If we hate on everyone elses style then were doomed to have boring, bland and generic photos stories and movies. And being a weirdo mountain man doesn't count as being unique.2. the print industry is rapidly falling apart thanks to the internet.and 3. the reason Transworld is as good as you think it is, is because it's Transworld which is a major international publishing company. Freeskier is an independent magazine that is privately owned and only has one magazine (go look at a store there's TW boating)
We ned more specialized magazines and more communication to get better stories lets shoot for a thrasher esque magazine before transworld.
