Maelle Ricker Gold Medal

Bah, I'm a bit dissapointed and feel bad for Helene Olafsen. She was riding well all day and I was confident a gold/silver was ensured since Jacobellis got disqualified in her semi-final run. Oh well, not the greatest winter olympics for Norway so far. Congratulations to Maelle Ricker and Canada with the gold!
 
yeah man it is too bad for Olafsen, but Ricker had the whole shot from the beggining that course was so deadly for falls today, so in a way kind of fell victim to the course
 
Indeed, that course looked brutal, Ricker certainly controlled that last run but a silver would have been possible if Olafsen didn't knuckle those bumps. Better luck next time, she's only 19 after all.

I was cheering for Olafsen for silver the whole way, and only because im Canadian so Ricker was an obvious choice.

And I will be the first to say it, kinda of sorry to see Jacobellis fail in semi's, olympics = rough time for her
