Well I've heard from friends that have ridden both say, that Public Enemys are noodles compared to the Trixxx. Like so stiff you can't butter if you're life depended on it.

if you want a solid, heavy, sturdy ski, get the mt's. you wont be able to butter for shit, but buttering is played out anyways. these skis won't break. (ive broken 3 pair of 1080's and a pair of rossi scratch fs, mt's have lasted the longest yet....a whole season!)

they have a little too much shape for the bumps. thats why they invented bump skis.

I've got a similar question... I used to ride skogens but they were too soft for me, and a friend can hook me up with Mad Trix 181s for about 220, or public enemy 179s for 215... i want something stiffer than skogens, but not incredibly stiff... so would the PE's be good at that price (both are in plastic, never drilled)

1. Buttering is not played out half the people that say they butter are just spiing around on the snow.

2. Buttering is just to play around and have fun, so the average person is not going to need a ski to just specifically butter.\

3. The mad_trix are the stiffest twin-tip out there, they have a race ski cut so you will turn amazingly well.

4. Go with K2 they are really proggrssing the sport with there new gear.

the titanium underskin on the madtrix makes either the tail or tip (depending on which way u mount them) insanely stiff. as in u can barely bend them with ur hands let alone when u ski. i rode both skis, i owned both skis, i love my pe's, i ripped out my heel piece on them but only cuz my tech who mounted them was a jerk and didnt glue up 2 holes. but they still lasted the whole season. i love my pe's and wont ride any other companies skis.
