Made'n or Profet 100

ok well ive narrowed down my search for pow skis to these two, what do u think? and if someone can convice me to buy a diff ski go for it, i want the best i can get. And btw i'd use it for only pow days and groomers

definately Made'N AK. Personally i love skis like that. fat and soft in the tail. rips through powder and still works well on trails. Plus Made'N graphics are sooo much better.

Honestly, those two skis are VERY different. The Prophet 100 is going to be a much stiffer ride than the Made'n. The Prophet is built more as a big mtn stick and the Made'n is considered a strictly pow ski.

Bottom line, if it's going to be and pow/cruiser ski for you, go with the Made'ns. I've had two pairs and they are one of the most fun skis ever!

^ word. the prophets would probably be the better choice for cruising the groomers, but don't be a pussy. get the madens and spend all your time in the bc hucking cliffs. the madens would be much better for spinning and stuff like that.

 
Pussy? The 100s will be a pretty damn beef ski, I wouldn't call either of those pussy skis. In your place I would get prophet 100s because from what people who work for Line say it's the best ski the company's ever produced and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me at all if that's true.

Prophets for groomers, maden's for pow. Personally I'd get the maden's because they're more versatile.

sweet, i was always thinkin about gettin the made'ns but my friend had the 05s and it would be kinda weird but w/e the the graphics r pretty differnt

but now what size, im 5'7-8" and ski 176s normaly , 179 or 189?

vicious is a big fucker. like 6'3 and 180 lbs or some shit like that. he has had both the 179 and 189 madens and the 179s ended up being his favorite ski. get the idea?

I personally don't know anyone who has been utterly dissapointed with any k2 factory team ski, so you can't go wrong with the made'n's. However, I have a great deal of interest in the LINE prophet 100's. Can't wait to try them.

i dont know why you guys think that the 100's would be such a ski for groomers. 100 underfoot wouldnt be the best to hit up the groomers. might be stiffer but still a definate bc ride. i would still go with the maidens but i dont think either would be a bad choice. if you like stiffer go prophets if not go maidens

 
Also if i was you i would get the 130's. It sounds big but once you put it next to the 100's its not that bigger difference. You can still take them on groomers as well as the 100's but there better for pow. Plus having a 130 waist is pretty unique.

the prophet 100s are not a groomer ski. wtf are you guys talking about. madens are pretty soft. i would prefer a stiffer ski for charging. and you can use them for jumping too, bibby + prophets = big air champion

Have you actually put a Prophet 100 next to a 130. It is like putting a slalom ski next to the Vicious. Take a look at the 2 skis.

The 179cm Made N AK is the perfect size for you. I am about the same height and weight as you and I have a pair of these in the 179cm length. They have a great flex patter and they are an absolute blast in powder and crud. Very easy to control.

nobody said that the prophets were a groomer ski. it was just said that they would do better on hardpack than the maidens.

i found the madens to be too chattery. mind you they were mounted super far back. and since the prophets are stiffer, they would be better in crud.

what would make the madens more vesatile

^that's sweet that he used the 100's and won. Maybe that will convince people to start thinking outside the box and atleast try a phat ski in the park and pipe, as well as everywhere else that it naturally would perform well.

soft skis are to be mounted at core center. Get made'ns, mount em at core, hit some switch pow shit, and stop asking questions.

i don't own them, but i can tell you that EVERY guide at silverton (at least when i was there) rocks the 189's. if that's not a statement i dunno what is.

well if your talking about bc guides, i doubt that helps much cus the persons prob gonna ski at a resort and gonna have to ride hardpack once in awhile.

 
no, mount soft skis at core so they won't flop around on everything, and since they are big and fat, it will make them lighter. skis switch powder is also much easier with longer tails.

because I like poop.
