I am looking into buying next years Maden ak's and wanted to know your opinions... I would get them in 179 which i think is slightly longer because of the k2 running length. I am 5,9- 5,10 and about 145 lbs. I ride west coast and wanted a ski that i could ride in deep snow steeper stuff but also hit the park on the way back to the lift. I also have no clue were abouts to mount them? Thanks.

They're looking to be amazing skis. I just bought a pair from 05-06 on NS, same length and all (we're actually really close in height/weight, I'm like 5'10 150). I would suggest not going for this years, becasue the only thing they have changed is the graphic, and in my opinion, the old black one looked better. I ride west coast, and I'll let you know how my season goes on these things.

As far as bindings, just get something that works for your height and weight, there really isnt too much of a difference. Enjoy them!

there is a group of arrows on the side of the ski that designates different mounting points. for sure mount them at the +7mm core center arrow. i had a pair last winter and they were fantastic for everything. they killed the park, rode switch amazingly well, and shredded pow like none other. definitely don't mount them anywhere else.

so far i take it that the skis are alright size for me and i should mount them at around plus seven? any others?

whats wrong with dead center for pow? I love it! nothing sucks more than skiing pow on skis that are at +7 or so.

do NOT mount at mid sole unless you will only ride all-mtn. i mounted my 05-06s there and they sucked big time in park. i recommend +5 or so.
