Maden AK Protoypes

I tried multple ways, therouhg reps and the company to get a pair for two years. needless to say, they were never sold, haha
 
The rockered version was never made available to the public, that basically was for someone like Seth who was skiing in the back country.
 
they didn't sell them because they only made a few. They were made only to test the concept of a rockered ski, in development of the hellbent.

Also, they weren't rockered. They were full reverse camber. I would rather have a rockered ski I think.
 
those make em even sicker, i was wondering because while watchin ski porn, all the k2 riders had em... and i thought maybe they sold theyr pairs off r somethin
 
The pros themselves might have, but more likely they all were sent pack to K2 for r&d purposes.
 
TWood sorry but they were rockered I talk to Seth on PM on a different site quite a bit, and yeah they were rockered.
 
damn shame, i really would like to get a pair, theyr full rockered and not as rediculously fat as the hellbents... maybe k2 will make somethin like this next year...
 
yeah, one of the first segments in IDEA, i think pep has some plain white skis that look like some kind of prototypes
 
NWS very unlikely, but maybe start out on a shitty pair of skis learning how to rocker them work your way up and then do it on a pair of maidens.. The reason they wont do it with the maidens now is they have the hellbents..
 
saw a guy up at camp this summer, had the same, said they were a maden prototype, not the same as the full rockered ones theyr reppin in ski porn
 
Really hard to say what they did with them , I'm sure they tested out alot of protos being now they have the Seths with mini rocker, my best ski by far, my quiver is 07/08 Seths, 06/07 PEs, and 06/07 T-Halls, and I was really sad to see the review the T-Halls had in FreeSkier buyers guide
 
Well if you taled to seth then we were both right.

They were probably testing both types: rockers and Reverse cambers.

I skied a few runs with Benchetler 2 years ago, and they were reverse camber, not rockered.
 
also, most people don't know that teh "hellbents" that pep and andy rode at PC were actually Madens, rockered, with the square tips and hellbent graphics.
 
Yeah we didnt really get into the camber at all, he said they were tweaked and then we got in to the rocker application of the ski, so really who knows
 
See there we go the bullshit, I wasnt name droping , I love to talk about skis and yeah I do talk to Seth on PM alot so grow up homey, and I am soooo sorry If I dont get on NS alot there is a reason for that too many young kids that say alot a shit
 
that wasn't a name drop, that was him posting a legitamate source that he got his information on to back up his argument. get over it.

did they have a green side wall? i know that in canada ryan schmies was skiing a pair of almost all white skis with a tiny bit of neon green. they were rockered and he said they were a prototype pair that he literally pulled out of the garbage at K2
