At my local park all the boarders thing they are gods gift to the world. when i come down to the park and hit a rail or a jump they hell things like snowboarders only or get the fuck outta here u skier. I am sooo frustrated. The'll say something to me, then go off a jump and get little air, then ill go and get way more air then them, and they still tell me how i cant be here because i ski. it doesnt help that i only have a small group of other skiers to go with because thee rest board. even wen i come to the park with my friend who snowboard and is one of the best at the park, they still say something. I guess i just wish more people had twin tipsay my ski area. o yeah and it also doesnt help that really bad skiers go off jumps and then fall right on them.

If your the only skier in your area you need to do something big and sick. They won't give you respect but they'll leave you alone. Their hate for skier usually stems from the little fuckers on snowblade and the kids that fly in there wreaking the jumps and polluting the parks.

 
First off why the hell do you put up with that. I sure as hell wouldn't. Although I'm a big guy and people don't usually yell at me unless they're in a moving vehicle. But anyway I don't know where you guys ski that keep complaining about this. Where I ski there are way more skiers in the park than snowboarders. It's like the East coast hasn't gotten past the fact that the skiers vs snowboarders thing was over like 5 years ago.

tell them that if they spent less time worrying about you and more time on their riding they might actually not suck.

And if you spent less time worrying about what they think and more time on your skiing then you might be sick enough that they'll give you some respect.

 
just ignore them.

if it gets really bad, and is the same guys every time, you could probably say something to the ski patrol and they might be able to do something about it.

Yeah, in the east coast there are tons of yuppies, especially during presidents week, people from NYC and boston area and shit many of them have no respect for anything....damn yahoos

iam in bassically the same case i had boarder do that to me, u either gotta show them up completely or beat the shit outta the biggest one and dont use your ski poles cause that would just be gay

Well here in PA, the ratio of skiiers to boarders in the parks is like 1:3. The boarders used to bitch at us too, but after my buddy threw a double-back and a 450 to rail, those ass-holes shut the hell up. So I'm going to have to agree with some of the others and say huck some big shit. Many parks don't allow inverts but they are sure to shut them up.

If all else fails, beat the shit out of them on a flat section of mountain and use your poles for a quick getaway.

makr0 nailed it. But I hate it when I see little kids on skis hittin smaller jumps for them to get better on and some douchebag boarder chucks an iceball at them. I've seen many kids hurt that way both for skiing and boarding. But seriously, I'll take on two boarders not only do I have polls but imagine getting kicked anywhere on your body by a fucking, hard, cold plastic ski boot. Kick their bloody shins.

But if I see two skiers fight I just let them duel it out because it's super funny to watch such an event take place. I'll admit, skiers look stupid fighting.

only ppl i ski with usally are boards so they aint that bad if they friends but i make fun of boarders if they suck so yeah lol golden rule
