It was an obvious choice. Vick has already been on the cover and this is the only chance that the Browns will have someone on the cover.

but because of cleveland being known for a city that never wins, the curse will be the opposite of that.

Why? Don't they usually put the QB of the team that won the superbowl on the cover? I thought It would for sure be aaron rodgers. Madden curse anyways.
 
no absolutely not. Vick was on it in '04 (broke his leg), Sean Alexander in '05 i believe (dropped off the face of the earth). Vince Young was on it, his career is down the drain. Troy Polamalu was on it. the only SuperBowl winner was Drew Brees.
 
How can Hillis possibly be on the cover? Its a good story and all but he isnt in the top five rbs. Also you can argue he isnt in the top ten, but somehow he is on the cover of madden. How about Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Peterson, Brees, Foster, and anyother 30 plus players that had a better season? Also I feel good for cleveland after losing LeBron but who is going to want to play with the browns? Hillis was also only had one decent year, and now that teams know about him they will load the box and stop him. It's great and all that a 7th rounder has a great year, but you should have put more than one together to get the cover of madden
 
but you fail to realize that the NFL is a passing league. even with a mediocre passing game, Hillis will be effective. you can't put 8 people in the box every play and expect to win.
