Madden 09

i love to use passing teams...and throw to the running backs so i use

Raiders

Saints

Cardinals

Chargers (only if the other guy is using cowboys, pats, giants)

Rams

Titans

Broncos
 
nah, you gotta go with Pat White if your looking for speed, West Virginia kills it in that game
 
now if your guna play ncaa you gotta be penn state so many weapons on offense with royster in the backfield to norwood,williams, and butler at the recievor positions, and daryl clark at qb, and finally their defense is nasty

ill smokeshow anyone on here in madden.

dont use a mobile QB. being mobile always means they suck at passing. use cheapass things like splitting cover 2's, running streaks with your slot guy when its against cover 2 or cover 3, etc etc. concentrate on dialing your passing game, dont worry about running with the QB. cardinals are my fav team to play with, then the saints.

do practice mode a lot. learn to user pick
 
be the cowboys and put felix jones in at fullback then run out of shotgun and if you do screen passes to marion barber and felix jones its guranteed at lest 7 or 8 yards every time
 
because people that do that have no relation to OSU in any way, and OSU and all the other Big 10 teams are overrated in that game.
 
want to explain whats wrong with running a streak with the slot man against cover 2 or 3? if the people can't cover it why not do it? and whats wrong with running a post through a cover 2 defense? split the shit out of that if people keep running cover 2 then keep doing it.
 
gooddd damn it. Why can't they keep making this for computer!?!? I've been an avid Madden player since the 2002 version and now they want me to fucking get an xBox or console FUCK! Brett Favre's on the cover too.. and there seems to be so many new features.. god damn it. 08 better not get too old too fast.

and andyju.. I'd love to challenge you. If we could somehow play console verse comp.
 
i do what works. i just beat defenses. learning to run well is really important too. knowing what cuts to make and what holes to run through. but seriously, i think the most important component is user picking. i cant stress that enough. i get intercept my opponent 2.8 times a game, 90% of which are user. everything is user when you get good. learn to play defense, i like using the middle line back or one of the safeties. cb coverage is too hard.

remember, man coverage in 09 is the shittiest thing. if you see man, run drags and crosses and theyll be wide open every time.

running sucks until you get good. dont give up on it, just keep practicing

oh alright buddy it sounded like you said not to do them...haha alright cool...i was going to say picking apart cover 2 d is my thing...

and you said user picks is a big thing...i think user catching is the biggest...you can position the reciever every time works great
 
yeah that too. but i think user picks are more important cause its game changing. and i run a lot of drags and crossing routes, so the comp can catch a lot of the time. but if im doing streaks or curls, then user catching no matter what
 
you guys ever play using the feature of starting as a different position? I never really felt like dealing with it and would just switch to receivers as i threw the ball. But yeah you every play with it? I usually got stuffed as a running back because holes/rush was impossible to see.
 
nah i never do that. i just switch after the play starts. sometimes i do lead blocking though. other times i select my lead blocker so that my opponent thinks im running, but i do a play action play after they audible
