Yea or nay?

o hay look, a crappy cheezy hip hop beat mixed with a midi file of mad world which was used with a shittyVST, prolly fruity loops

cooooool

Calm down I made this in like a half hour waiting for a ride and thought it sounded alright.

Ahh geeze what was I thinking. You guys are obviously way too cool to give me any advice. My bad I guess after not pleasing the almighty music gurus with a quick beat I made I should just abandon hope and leave it to the chosen ones.
Fuck You.

the acapella of this song would go really well with that mad world beat. if you could find it that is..

ouch

look at it this way, cause this is the way I see it.
I work on a huge project for school, its really important and everyone on the whole internet will see it. I only work on it for 30 minutes and acknowledge its just alright.
Why would I ever think to share something that obviously hasnt had much thought put into it to the whole world?

For real you just think your the best. I have Reason, FL9, Cubase and Pro Tools on my PC. I just got cubase so I haven't done much with it but I haven't bothered with pro tools because I want more practice first, and I use ableton on my macbook. I used FL for this beat because it's easy I wasn't making a studio beat or anything I just made one quick for fun and I wanted to test out rolls with the snare. I also tested out recording with my padKONTROL live instead of directly into the step sequencer with the hat. I'm sick of so many people having this better than others mind set.
Once again fuck you.

I never said it was good I'm looking for advice. It was more for the techniques I was practicing than the actual outcome. For the sample I counted bars and matched the beat to it instead of quantizing and changing the pitch which I've never tried before and like I said above with the hats and snares.

thats some next level isht

yea or nay wasnt asking for advice, i responded to yea or nay in the exact way it should be responded to, i gave great feedback imo

Great feedback indeed, thank you. I will take this feedback you have given me and try to better myself with it.

crap u have more programs than me! lulz i dont really have a better than others mindset. im just tired of seeing shoddy work posted to the internet that i myself could do in about 5 seconds on my akai mini MIDIs. and dude, youre never gonna make it in generation x without a mass amount of cynicism.

I think the thought process was good. It's a great song and while I wasn't mad about all of the midi/synth sounds, I think they sometimes do have a place. Good thoughts, just work some better 'sounds' in.
@Srslyfresh - that was an ok track (I didn't like the timing or phrasing and the lyrics were almost unreconizable) but I reckon you could probably help this kid out instead of just being a tool. How is he going to post better stuff or learn if you're just arrogant towards him.

You are actually helping me it's just whatever his name is being a douche. In songs where I actually want to make a studio quality beat, I never use stock sounds, I know that'd be bad. And about yours, did you sample the song or just play the melody with a different VST?

Honestly, I think it sounded pretty sick. Though my only recommendation is to mellow out the bass track a bit more when the lyrics start.
