Mad Trix

The stiffness of the ski is so that when you get out of the park you wont have you skis flapping around at high speeds. I don't notice the weight that much at all.

Yeah, they kill it as long as you mount them right. I have a pair mounted big air and one mounted big mtn +3, and the big air ones don't ski switch very well at all for some reason, it just feels wierd.

 
ya they kind of are, but i do half and half of all mountain and park, so it doesnt bother me at all.they will just last longer

i had bought the ski with the plate, but took it off and got the bindings mounted at +1. i like em alot.

Hey. I could have a pair of last years 190cm's for really cheap. I'm 183.5cm tall ( 6feet 1 inch? ) and I weight about 160lbs. So any opinions? 50-50 between allmountain and park.. I'd really appreciate some advice.

 
i have last years mad trix mounted big mountain pretty far back, is it better to have them mounted center or on the big air side?

i have the mojos. they rule. i want to say that the stiffness is very similar to the MT. in the pipe they are awsome. i have had no probs with them at all performance wise. the snake skin top sheet is kinda brittle though, i landed pretty far rear seat once and cracked a 2 inch strip of the top sheet off (now its filled with epoxy) but dont let that stop you from getting these skis, there is something in the back of my mind that tells me that i landed with my tails crossed and the edge striped that peice off, but im not sure. i have the 176's and i have them mounted to +3 and they are awsome. if you want to use them for BC dont mount them that far forward. i have had problems with my tips sinking in the pow because my weight is so far forward. they still beat the MT in the deep stuff though. in the park the perform very well, i feel stable on rails (maybe because the width) and they spin easy off jumps, and ive talked about the pipe already. any more questions?

^If you're a good skiier and you ski all mtn a lot you'd be fine. But it isn't necessary to get skis bigger than you... do it if you think you can handle them, which you should be able to, being 180lbs. 186 is a good length. Anything over 180 is fine.

 
ya, 186 is pretty long. im 5' 10' 150lbs. and like i said, im on the 176's. i dont have any problems with them at all, but they are only like 3 cm taller than me. and plus dude, count in the amount of ski that wont be on the ground because of the tip and tail. on my 176's the tip and tail parts that arnt on the ground are about 7 cm. if that is consistant with the 186 that means you will only have about 173 on the ground.

I've got '03 mad trix mounted about 2' in front of the big mountain line. They're super balanced in the park but still far enough back to cruise. Don't even think about mounting them big air forward. The BM shovel is higher and wider than the BA. The Head website even says when you go backwards in big air, the skis are going forwards.

 
^Yeah I have 2 pairs of madtrix so I remounted my old ones centermounted big air forward, now they're switch skis. It's pretty awesome.
