went to a shop the other day and saw the system, they are mad heavy but also one of the best ideas ive seen to date, if they could make the system lighter, then i think i would buy it any day of the week, its really cool, there is this lever you pull towards the front of the plate to switch between park ( foreward mounting) and pow ( bacward mounting) i dont really know exactly how much the change alternates, but i would recommend if ur gunna get the ski, get it without the system.... that is about the extent of how i could help you, with im sorry was not much. Ive actually heard nothing but good reviews about the ski itself you can find a ton o reviews in the ski review section.

 
i rode the old ones without the system, my friend got the system and after his first 180 the plate broke, i found them even without the plate to be very heavy and cumbersome and very chattery at high speed, i don't think constructionaly they have chagned this year but i could very well be wrong, i feel with the new graphic that in order to use these skis you need to have a mullet and an 80's camaro, they just look so white trashy i hate them

accually they are way stiffer than other twins so they are very stable at high speeds and have more pop too. + they are lighter than the tms but wieght doesnt matter at all if you accually know how to ski

it's not that they were heavy its that i found them sluggish, i just didn't like them, personal preferance thats all, i know people who love them so great, they're happy, i'm happy

whoever above thought the system was great is a fucking turd. That thing was the most useless piece of shit ever created...I broke the plate as well, way back in the day. The ski itself is the toughest most duralbe fuckin ski i have seen to date. Full on bomb proof. Buy it. New is same as the old, no construction changes, just top sheet

ya mad trix kickass. i have them in 172, wish i woulda got the 181's but they still kickass all over the mountain becasue of their stiffness. most durable ski i have ever seen. buy um

ok i jsut bought last years mad trix for 250$ canadian adn seeing how this years are 1400 at my skishop im pretty damn happy, i ahvent used them yet but i ahve a question if i get them mounted for big air would it be really hard to carve and get around in the mountains adn powder?

well if ur used to skiing a smaller ski get the 172. I am 5'6 and 145 and im riding the Mad_Trix in a 172 this year, but my bro is 5'7 and 115 and hes got the 163's...its all what u feel comfortable with

Hey, i have a pair of mad trix, not sure yet if im selling, has anyone rode it on big air mode, and had the bindings set 50/50 i was thinkin bout it but not sure yet. reply to this.
